I'm glad you guys brought that game up, it's one I was going to try out and was interested in but things distracted me. Gotta stop watching dumb LP's and actually play something, preferably with a group of people.

I think that's the main problem with me an MMO's, you need to find a group of people to play with or it isn't as fun as it could be. So, if you and your girl lady person don't mind playing with bay 12 guys then all the better.

I 2nd TF2. It can be a lot of fun if one of you plays a support class.

Engineer + Sniping Class can get interesting, as the all too well known Medi+Assault Class. There are so many interesting ways to play if you can both commit to a plan.

If it ever gets an english patch (or release), try Phantasy Star Online 2. If one of you speak Japanese to begin with you'd be fine, otherwise it's damn hard to know what's going on. But it's free and a bit different from a lot of MMOs from what I've seen.

Sort of like a cross between a Dynasty Warriors game and a normal RPG, but multi-player. I mean that in a good way though. Run, slash, shoot, magic and use items in real-time, and you can actually dodge attacks by skill (unlike WoW's stat dodges). Creatures have weak points for those with good aim (ie: everyone, it's not that hardcore on it's aiming mechanics) and you can sort of multi-class as you like if you want. Cutsy enough, but slashy enough for anyone to enjoy.

As soon as Sega releases the english version (or there's a player mod made for it), I'm going to give it a go. I used to love the old PS series, and this seems to have held onto just enough of that style of magic that it looks fun. It's a jump-in, jump-out system as well, so no waiting for raids to fill or anything like that.

Atlantica Online. Vast world. Free to play. Turn based combat. Surprisingly quick leveling for a game of that type. Can get to level 100 in a couple months... if you're me. The cash shop isn't what I'd call "OP." It was added to steam recently.
