Doesn't Thaumcraft require world gen stuff, such as trees and new ores?
As we have explored pretty much everything within map range it would require a bit of travel to get a lot of new stuff... That and we are pretty damn powerful in the current world, what with a portal to the promised land and a lot of really powerful weapons and other junk.

So personally I'm opting for a new world, but look forward to it either way.
It has a retroactive generation system, but if you'd like to start over we can do that.
I'd vote for starting over. All the other mods might mess up retroactive generation.
I second this. I am willing to sacrifice the Fearsome Duck for mod compatibility.

The duck wasn't that bad... I kind of liked it. Made it feel like we got there by having our ship get washed onto shore by a tsunami and with no hope of ever getting it off and sailing back to merry old England we just decided to build a town in the new world... We were fucking settlers because of that duck!

Anyway, if we do restart, we should figure out what mods we want in world gen. I personally am a huge fan of Underground Biomes.

I think go with a new map for tonight, but keep a backup of the current map on hand for if there's a resounding "OMG GO BACK"

The duck was awesome.

New map means losing the volcano, but also losing the glacier, so that balances.

If we're going to be building up a single town again, it might be fun to make the mobs push back a bit harder (i.e. increased spawn rate) so there's a reason to think about the town's lighting/defenses (I'm tired of being blown up by creepers in town).

Well I vote for starting over as well.
Altough all that we have accomplished so far... could you save the world just in case?
Also would we still be able to use Bibliocraft and Biomes O Plenty?

edit: UndergroundBiomes seem to work well with BiblioCraft and Thaumcraft4.
However I am not sure how well it fares on a server.

edit2: Found This mod which makes Metallurgy metals work in the TCo smelter.
Altough it's still in alpha, so there may be bugs.

forgive me for not catching on to that joke there.
A childhood with aspergers and cruel schoolyard bullies have.. made it dificult for me to get such jokes.

Not really, just place 2x2 of any UB stone and you get 1 vanilla MC stone.

Well I myself like to have a wide variety of woods, stones and metals.
But that's just me I guess. :p

By the way, this mod adds interesting graves to players deaths.
And I think it enables you to get back the stuff you died with, altough I could be wrong.
Also it should be compatible with the other gravestone mod we have been using, just a quick config edit would do it.
