I've joined the server. I didn't see anything in the first post about having to announce it but I figured I would anyways. I'm completely new to most of these mods and I'll try not to bother anyone.

Welcome! Have fun, but be careful. The server is on hard difficulty and has a few mods which make it harder still.

   Forsaken, you are incorrect. At the moment the server seems to actually be set to easy as I was wandering around with an empty hunger bar and stayed at half health. Something probably reset the difficulty or something.

Well.. I'll fix that soon enough.

loosing all mining related stuff due to lava is not fun, I do not have enough iron or diamonds to make a pick, so I am stuck with the mining turtle intill I get more resources, at least I have the turtle still. 
Note: rubber boots make it seem like you are invincible but you can still die in lava with them.

I'm not sure if it's just me or if the problem exist for others, but I got a BSOD when I middle-clicked something in my inventory. Might've been wheat or corn.

I hate to ask, but does anyone else have that problem?

middle clicking sorts your inventory with invtweaks. Try removing that mod. It is client side only so you can play without it.

I wonder if it solved the turtle blindness problem so I can train my turtles to KILL the fleshy opressors -- I mean, serve as safe, efficient staff and guards for my base. Self-replicating, organized, heavily-armed guards...

Well you haven't experianced losing about 26 diamonds in the last week  Stupid lava and lag.

Has anybody had serious memory problems with minecraft? It seems to be worse with the pack, I don't know if it's mods causing derpage, but I keep running out of memory really fast.

Despite giving Minecraft a good 1GB to play with. It's kind of disturbing, and annoying having to restart the game every so often.

My system hasn't crapped on me yet on 1.4.5. Version 1.4.2 memory leaks crashed it constantly and brought my computer to a halt.

Seriously the other one I have running in windows is rock solid. It must just be linux and how minecraft works
