Would you want Smart Moving included? It really adds something to the game when you can climb and move around easily like that.

Honestly i tried it and didnt find it that much use. Maybe because i'm so used to normal movement. It seems that i could still play on the server without having smart moving installed though.
I just love being able to climb over 2/3 block high walls without dropping cobblestone stepping blocks down, or shimmying along a ledge. But yes, it isn't required even if the server has it and even if you had it installed you can turn it off with F9.

You mean 2-5. With some quick button pressing, you can get up really high things.
I think the max is four with a charged jump, but yes. I also like being able to climb slabs set into the wall, and ceiling-climb iron bars.

Hooooooooooly shit I saw the new update. The startgame is totally different now. You can't make stone anvils, but their GUI now appears when you use a hammer on a raw stone block. You can't make stone picks or propicks, but you can find metal bits on the ground. Sluices and gold pans are also back in. Planks exist now and are used to make plank blocks too.

By the way, the new TFC versions seem interesting (full changelog here)

Among the changes : no more stone pickaxes, no more stone prospector picks, better terrain generation for both ore veins and caves, sluice and gold pan are now the new prospecting, and small ore pieces can be found from small rocks if there's a vein nearby. Also new planks, and better non-stone tools (2x durability).

It seems there's a couple fixes planned already for 47c so maybe we should wait for that, for the server. Just checked the download section to try 47b and 47c is in fact now available.

I'll grab the newest build and do some testing as soon as I can, possibly tonight but more likely tomorrow. I don't get a lot of time during the week.

Who wants to collaborate on a ginormous 25x25x13 charcoal pile?

There's lots of nifty changes in the various build 47 versions. The sluices that I tried to construct a while back are now implemented. It costs the equivalent of two original wood planks to create a chest. Arrows and javelins can be created in the 2x2 crafting grid. Logs stack to 12 instead of 4.

... To prevent people who aren't in the contest from taking stuff from the infinite supply chests...?

Forcefields will do that pretty easily.

Right, that.
I'm guessing that you just added the mod which will allow for infinite supply chests then.

Nope. that was already in.

What I was doing was copying the server so I can subject it to terrible experiments test the latest version of mystcraft. I'm also trying to get smart moving working a bit better. Crawling is useless and bugged at the moment.

Oh, the server is back up by the way. I just needed it down for a second to copy it off the server to my local drive
