To keep people entertained while I work on my other server project I've put up an FTB Ultimate server at muse.dyndns.tv:25565

I'll probably be disabling gregtech and setting large biomes.

For some odd reason, FTB Ultimate have started to crash when trying to log into the server,m even when I try to create a singleplayer world.
Any idea what might cause this?

No idea, but I'd suggest deleting the instance and re-downloading the entire pack via the FTB launcher

I seem to have fixed it,  appears I just needed to add -XX:PermSize=64m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m in the Advanced Options section of the FTB launcher.

Jumped on and played for a bit yesterday. Didn't manage anything much, but I did get a mineshaft sunk down to diamond level and mined out a bunch of resources. And saved someone who'd wandered into another world without bringing a linking book behind.

So that was fun.

Not sure how often I'll play on the server, but I'll probably pop on occasionally to do stuff.

Do we have a central place for communal stuff or some sort of trading post? I figure I probably don't need to hold onto a bunch of the more advanced ores I picked up for now, and someone else might as well get use out of them.

We've got a central farm and chest/barrels/crafting table. Also a nether portal there.

Should you need the use of a carpenter, there is currently one in my house, just ask for a basalt building near a volcano.
Just remember to replace any charcoal/seed oil used and turn off any engines after you are done.

Slight problem with the server right now. Working to get it resolved.
