I wish they keep historical (where possible) unit and research pictures. The 3d models while nice looking can't compare to the stuff from HoI, while that's not a big part of the game I feel it added a nice layer of atmosphere and flavour to the game.

So looking forward to this. I'm definitely playing Israel, just so I can have a full diplomatic, military and economic challenge. Though I wonder, they did mention the gulf war. Wasn't that after the end of the Cold War?

Yea wtf no tactical nukes - they were important parts of the strategy and planning for BOTH sides for quite some time.  Did they mention chemical weapons?  That was a big part of East Block planning, even the west built a crapload.  At least Paradox finally deigns to allow us to see casualty figures - their sanctimonious stance on that for HOI went a long way towards putting me off the series.  How the HELL do you fight a war of attrition if you can't see even estimates of the effects?   Yeeeeesh....
