Pretty much what kaijyuu said. I don't see why people are always so up-in-arms about them. It's comparable to taking a picture of my face after every sentence, to get a general feel for my emotions at that point. But my face isn't as fantastic as this little guy

You know those people who go to parties and just take pictures of themselves for hours? Excessive smilies is the forum equivalent.
