You think that's weird?

In this game, wagons have gods.

OK, now I just want to mod my wagons to have a maxage, so that way my wagon can die of old age and be buried.   :P

(Old guy in priest robes)

" He was a good, sturdy wagon, with polished wood and brass wheels. His death will be mourned within the comunity for years on end."

(Waves in the Carpenders to do there thing. Wagon Tables for everyone!)

You'd need butchers, actually. DF wagons are so important they're considering living creatures. They're not even made out of wood, instead they use some kind of weird skin that transforms into wood when you destroy the wagon for those three precious logs.

Oh god, I hope they don't become super-intelligent and rise to dominance over everything else. I shudder to think what they'd do to make us pay for our merciless slaughter of their species.
I just realized the possibility of wagons as a civ. hmm.

Clearly none of you have engraved a memorial to a destroyed caravan wagon.

It's already in the game!

Clearly, DF wagons are made out of sapient pearwood.

That is an insane and dangerous plan.  I approve wholeheartedly.

Actually, wagons appear to be made of a single log of wagon-wood. Or maybe wagon-wood is just a wagon that has collapsed into the standard long-and-thin form wagons collapse into.

People, I shall bug you with questions on theoretical wagon people until I have been satisfied.  Should Wagons have gender? Shpuld they still be used for transport by caravans? Is anyone following this thread a modder? I could use a bit of help.

Should they be able to become zombies? I can only assume wood would be a harder thing to cut straight through than flesh.

Traditional wagons don't work in game. I suppose you could create some sort of "wagon" creature that would have all the properties of any being i.e. it'd be a single tile creature.

Thats what I'm aiming for. Hey, if giant sperm whales can enter a flooded 1 tile wide passage-way, but two dwarves walking side-by-side can't, You know that reality had to take its leave of its senses at some point in my design. Still no word on genders? also, is it possible to make mine-carts child-wagons? I presume this would remove them from the game, And i'm okay with that.

EDIT: one thing. Where would its head be? I'm think it depends on wagon type. Does anyone know what wagons look like in DF? I'm thinking the handle, or the cloth part on the back, if it has it.
