Iridium is a nice one for being the densest safe metal. Osmium, because it's the straight up densest metal. Tungsten, because it's the densest metal of relatively good frequency. Neutronium, however, takes the lies. All of them

I'm sticking with either Carbon, Iron or Hydrogen. Maybe add oxygen there too.

Well, consider the humble T+ and D+ ions. Tritium and deuterium. A proton and one or two neutrons. Now lump several D+ ions, and you might get a bare Carbon-12. It's easy to see where I'm going with this.

Bread is porous. Easy. Besides, 70% of the universe is hydrogen. I dont have the measurements to hand, but I am sure that bread makes up a lot less.

Or, more sensibly, sandwich molecular H2 between layers of graphite.
