Wait, wait. Jopax, are you thinking peach or pear? Most of the pears I've seen would take a pretty big bottle to fit in... plus they're not a particularly soft fruit. They're like apples, but better. They crunch, or at least the ones growing in my yard did.

Peaches are sweet (usually) and mushy, though.

Depends on the type of pair and ripeness. The soft pears are by and far my favorite. But there are soft and hard pairs.

(If you're never a soft one, you've got to try it, they are amazing).

The hard ones are good too though.

Ah ha. Yeah, I've only had hard pears, at least in actual fruit form. Some soft ones from like, cans or whatever, but I always figured that was more due to preparation than actual fruit consistency. Mostly because the only ones I've really ate were the ones that grew on the tree in the yard

You can't pick the best fruit. There's too many the every good fruit.


Apples, bananas, mangos, cherries, blueberries, olives, chilli pepper.


And grapes make the wine.

Kiwifruit. Pears are a close second, though.

I like raw lemons.

But even better then them is this unholy cross between lemon and orange I once had. Tasted like a lemon, but was much bigger, easier to open, and had less pith.

I'd probably vote for tomatoes or strawberries.

I have to go with plums. They're delicious.

i absolutelly loathe soft pears. crunchy ones are amazing, though. pera rocha(rock pear), might be an exclusivelly portuguese variety, but if it is, the in pitty you all for never having had one

though all of them become soft and mushy if they ripen enough, without any visible hints. when i get one of those, i take the first bite and it goes straight to the compost box

Grapefruit, obviously. Though it loses out in the name department.

because grapes are actually berries you can call the grapefruit a fruit because it is, unlike the regular grape, a propper fruit, right? wrong. like the tomato, the banana, the watermelon, and the coffee cherry(from whose seeds coffee is made of), citruses are also a form of berry. unlike the strawberry, the blackberry and the raspberry which are actually aggregate fruits and the real cherry which is actually a stonefruit, related to peaches and plums

Grapefruit for sure. Add a tiny bit of sugar and they taste better then any other fruit. Or eat them without any and be a badass.

It's very hard to choose a favorite fruit though, I like all of them. Especially those that grow in my mom's garden, fruits from the store are usually boring.

Pears are excellent too. We have a pear tree, and when we have fruit, we have a ton of them. They spoil fast, but fortunately we have 15+ relatives living nearby, so we tend to eat them all before they turn !

I have no dislike for the flavour of pears, but i truly cannot stand their texture. it's far too mealy and mushy.
