If you're talking comedies, it's The Full Monty. Fifteen years since it came out, and nothing even comes close.

Otherwise, the only major one that hasn't been listed is is Slumdog Millionaire.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I've heard some rumors that the director's cut of Donnie Darko makes a whole lot more sense than the original. Can anyone verify that?
I have yet to watch that cut, but the movie makes more sense after watching it a few times. The website game thing they have also helps.

Probably Hangover or Hot Tub Time Machine.

If we're talking about classic oldies then Manos, the Hands of Fate

Dark City.

Rufus Sewell shooting psi blobs from his forehead and making doors appear (and later, bigger stuff). Epic.

The Matrix ain't got nuthin'.

dark city was terrible. it was still a lot better than the matrix though

on the noir\scifi\cheesy setting i'd point the obvious, bladerunner, but also terry gilliam's "brazil", and this little obscure gem, "alphaville"

I liked Dark City a lot, but it was spoiled by the cheesy boss fight at the end. Up until then it had been very noir-ish. And no matter what else, it has Jennifer Connelly as a slinky jazz singer. That alone makes it worth watching.

From 90's: Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country

"Captain. There be whales here."

I'd say Brazil. I always liked strange movies and a good story and this fits both categories.

If I had to pick another I'd say The Game (the one with Michael Douglas, not the internet thing). Another thing that I love is a twisted plotline with an unexpected last second turn. I've sat down to watch this one a couple times, which I rarely do with movies.
