No, that's alright, I'm still trying to adjust to vanilla right now, thank you though.
Either way, I've got another question. I have a 3 wide path surrounded by two rooms with fortification facing outside. If I placed cage traps three wide and in a solid block (maybe 3x3?) would it gaurantee one of them triggering?
Also, I'm considering creating a megabeast/major threat/whatever-the-****-pisses-me-off trap. My (entirely over-elaborate) trap would involve a channel opening with a a remote control bridge to close over it should I need. Would a hatch be a better choice? Or does it matter with building destroyers? Second, I wanted to use a pressure plate to activate a lock that would seal the creature in an underground tunnel. My two options would be either a tunnel full of cage traps or spikes (similar to the goblin grinder I've read about) or to create a room lined with fortifications to allow some marksdwarf training without any risk of them dying (would I need to dig a channel in front of the fortifications to prevent construction destructors?). I'm not sure if any of that is doable, but I haven't really built any elaborate traps yet, and I'm finding that my military ends up dying before they can train up there skills to be useful. I'm thinking a death trap might supliment my strength.
Also, if I could cage the minotaur, would it age to adult at any point? Would it be aggressive to other creatures (I saw an adult get ripped apart by goblins once)? And if so, is there any common set ups for creating a trap to utilize this so I can use the minotaur to dispose of minor sieges?
Sorry for all the questions, but I appreciate all the help. Thanks in advance.
