At least it has pretty pathetic speed. The only real niche I see for it is Sucker Punching the crap out of anything foolish enough to touch it, and /maybe/ functioning in Trick Room, in which case it's nigh unbeatable, unless you defeat it on the switch in (which is fairly possible with earthquake).

I'm thinking we should set up a Bay12 Pokemon IRC room, what do you all think?

Yup. I fought a few before and they can be right terrifying if the user predicts correctly.

It's actually a very entertaining battle.

Here's an example of one I had in the past, 3v3 online random.

1. First turn, I send out Tentacruel, he sends out Mawile. Mindgames start now.

I know for sure he will use Mega Mawile as normal Mawile is useless. Therefore, he will have no other megas other than this one, meaning his remaining two pokemon will be non mega type. Everyone who sends out a mega will rely heavily on it as part of their core strategy, so he must have something planned for this. The problem is what exactly is his plan? He can kill me in two hits if he chose to do so provided he doesn't sucker punch, but everyone who uses Mawile wants to use sucker punch. However, even if he sucker punches, he will still take two hits to kill me. So I have about one turn to cripple this Mawile. But my Tentacruel doesn't have any crippling moves beyond scald, and scald is only 30% burn chance so I can't rely on it. I don't have anyone else I can safely switch in either, so it will have to be something my Tentacruel can do. Anyway, I have too little information on what he's going to do so I should bait out the first turn. He might use swords dance, but I think that's too unlikely since he'll be better off trying to kill me. So I'll use protect.

2. I used protect. Mega Mawile uses rough play.

Hah! So he's going to wipe me out asap. Well, I can't use protect the second round, so I have to do something for sure now. Even if I switch in something, it'll probably just die to rough play. My best hope is to pray for a burn chance on scald.

Man, choice items make such a massive difference in battles.

My winrate went from some abysmal 30% to 60% just because of them. The difference between normal Greninja and choice scarf Greninja is so obscene.

Also yeah, my Snorlax got OHKO'ed by another brave bird Talonflame. I'm guessing that's just how powerful that Pokemon is. I've taken to keeping a Tyranitar in my team just to keep Talonflame in check.

It is very trolly. If you could control who it mimics, I think it would be far more useful though. Right now it's kinda derpy.

It copies the last Pokemon in your party.  Stick something weak to Psychic in the last slot, and find great amusement as your opponent wastes a turn.  ^_^
