Can new professions or military castes be modded?
« on: June 28, 2012, 12:54:10 pm »

Say if I want to make a mod to have dwarves that shoot magic, can these be modded to behave like military, like an axedwarf but instead as a battlmagedwarf?

[PROFESSION_NAME] is Caste Level yes, only interactions that use MATERIAL_EMISSION train the THROW and RANGED_COMBAT which are not connected to any professions. So that Legenary Mage (15+ throw skill) will be only defined by his highest Profession realted skill.

Isn't RANGED_COMBAT trained by archery/crossbowmanship?

It's trained by any ranged combat, IIRC.
