Just wanted to say. I just realized that the dwarf fortress community is fairly large. I don't see many different people posting though. Thats all.

Yeah. The upper forums are mostly lurkers and a few people with thousands of posts. Most people come down to the other forums after a while.

Sleeper adbots. One day a fat, lonely hacker will activate them all, causing a hilariously dense adbot explosion like that one a while back.

More like never posted. Around 60+% of people never post. A lot are spam bots that have issues for some reason. But even so I find the number of people who signed up and never posted odd.

I find it kinda weird how, despite my sabbaticals, I'm still up at 41st (and curse this thread for making go and check the listings again) in count.

I dunno, this has always been where I've hung out, although my early posts still embarrass the holy hell out of me. And early goes back just about to last week, I think. Of course, in the coming days, I've got a feeling that I wouldn't look fondly on this post either . . .
