Use survival instinct magic to take aim and fire at the creature's upper torso. EDIT: Also begin getting up slowly as firing.

Fire at it's torso to buy us time and roll away from it onto our feet and jump down a flight of stairs or two while our gun recharges. When it's recharged, take careful aim at the thing and when we have a clear shot, fire again.

You take aim at the creature, being sure to hit it in the torso before getting up. You pull the trigger, and the creature snaps back a step as its left shoulder comes off cleanly, dirtying the wall behind it with blood. Taking this opportunity for all it's worth you push yourself up and start back down the stairs to distance yourself from it. The monster doesn't stay flinched for long and starts to run towards you. You're only about halfway down the first set of stairs, but you point the handcannon at the monster, waiting impatiently for the beep. The monster is now inches away and you can smell its decay filled breath. Beep. You pull the trigger, slamming the thing backwards into the stairs. The impact from the stairs sends it's head rolling, bouncing all the way down a set of stairs.

You move up the stairs and into B15 to check for the engineer. You shine a light around the pitch black room. The room is a pure white, if not for the monster in the room it would have been spotless if you can ignore the shattered glass of the lights. A series of microscopes are set up along the wall, but they don't seem to be getting any power. Small piles of cardboard boxes lay to the right of the door where the creature once was, but a quick glance up tells you that the creature must have come from the air vents. The grate leading into the air vent is bent large enough for you to fit if you wanted to try to use it.

Along the far wall there is a small opening where a supply elevator would be. It doesn't seem to be on this floor right now, but it might be hard to get it to your level without power since your arm can't power things in black outs. You'd have to pull it down manually with the wires if you want it at your level.

You don't know how exactly the madman did it, but he doesn't seem to be in the room.

We've got a long way to go to get out of medical... We're gonna need more supplies if we are going to take on more monsters, preferably a weapon that uses less energy than our massive pistol, or something that uses a seperate power source than our arm.

Eat our energy bar and search the room for stuff that can be of use. Be sure to bend that grate back into place a bit to try and delay any more monsters and then check those boxes and any cabinets as well. We need to be on the lookout for anything that can help us stay alive down here. Check our radio again to see if we can get a signal here.

You eat an energy bar while checking your radio for a better signal, no such luck, but at least you don't feel as hungry. Whatever is ruining your signal has to be new, because you've used these before while they did engine repairs.

The grates are hard to move, but you manage to move them with a terrible grinding noise. A screech comes from far away, but you don't hear any movement in the vents above you. Maybe it was a good thing you didn't crawl into the vent to go up a level. You look down at the boxes below the grate and start shuffling through them. Most of them are replacement lenses for the microscopes in large packing containers to ensure that they don't scratch. You come across one box that is full of miscellaneous parts, and manage to find a power core. You pocket it knowing that it will help later, even if it does mean a bit more paperwork when this is over. There are beakers, vials, and other glass containers under the counters, but nothing of use.

You check the supply elevator for things of use, using the pulley to move the platform down since the power is out. The platform quietly descends down to your level, and you push it down the last little bit with your hands rather than risk crushing your arms with the platform. The platform must be 3 feet by 3 feet and made of metal with pulleys running down into the box. There is a small door that normally holds in the contents, but it seems to have been pushed down. There is a first aid kit on the left side that has been crushed, a shoe print of dirt is clearly visible.

Well, now we know how he went upstairs. Hang on a sec...

Dirt? Where the hell did the dirt come from?

Think hard where the engineer could have stepped in some dirt that's nearby. How would he have gotten here from there? Take that first aid kit and use it on yourself and then head upstairs with the elevator to move upstairs as far as it can go, and on each floor, listen carefully for sounds that might indicate monsters or the engineer and go upstairs as far as we can safely and quietly.

Ok singing up
Name, Andrew Cartrel
Occupation: Miner
Bio, 29 years old, Andrew was born into a poor household, unable to go to school, he was forced to work in the mars mines for a living, the richest and most trecherous mines there are, his life was relativly fine, until a plasma drill accident horribly deformed his face and left arm, unable to pay for a good operation, he was given a very different face, a mask was placed over his face, the mask is dark brown leather, it was completly air tight and had a special mouth hole for filtering the air, two large pale goggles cpable of switching to night vision for the sake of mining, his voicebow was replaced and now he is always gasping when he talks, and his left arm was replaced with a robitic one, equipped with a mini plasma drill for mining, it is a three fingerd claw rather than a hand, very strong n that hand, he is naturally strong because of his mning as well. After the operation he was sent away to other mines to hide his deformed features, his mining ship has stopped on Daedalus station for repairs and refueling, he has recived more patches, false skin here, robotic ankle there but none as reminding as the plasma drill burn

((So I've decided to make this multiplayer game with four slots plus the main. If someone wants a slot just post a character along with a small bio. ))

No one decided to take him up on it until now, apparently?

It kinda just became a one character suggestion game.

Yeah. It wanted to become a multiplayer game, but yeah, The Fool eventually removed the multiplayer part on this forum game's title.
