Is this possible? I think I remember once seeing a thread a very long time ago, a few years ago, where someone made some buildings in minecraft and then imported that into dwarf fortress somehow? Or maybe it was the opposite..

I'm wondering if there a tool to do that now?

Well, you can have floating blocks in Minecraft. Try that in DF

Not as interesting!? You can make a great fort and then be able to EXPLORE IT IN 3D, and even live in it in Minecraft. I'd say I've made better forts than Minecraft houses over the years.

If you tried this, your computer would fry to do minecraft's infinite world concept that is created by going a specified distance from your character, preventing maps from being able to be played in DF.

That is not to discourage anyone from trying this, however...

...If somebody's made the reverse of that tho, I don't know about it.

Thought about making it myself a couple months back, but I've got no real familiarity with DFHack's API, or the Anvil map format.

Actually, I once tried it using the current version and it worked.

Hm, it doesn't seem to work with the current DF. Says couldn't find a suitable process. I guess I'd have to dl an older version of DF for it to work.

Oh well, too bad there doesn't seem to be much interest in this anymore for someone to keep it up to date.
