Deny reminds armok that Vorglockie do not speak same language as the rest, and that Ataqalaas reign supreme in terms of their technology

Thankfully, the Kel'nar can understand and speak any language due to their minor telapathy.

Why do you have to make things worse? In any case the Vorglockie have no idea what is causing the fanatusm amongst the Salmass and Kel'nar

(OK, I am willing to try and start this up again, but if you guys are fed up with my incredeble slowness, then I understand, but I had typed this up so I'm posting it)

1180

The sector was thrown into chaos in these years, Hintred mysteriosly dissapeared and threw his new Vorglockie nation into civil strife, the alliance was unable to make any peace treaty as the multiple succesor states of his empire didn't agree or did agree. Attempts of peace between the Life ships and alliance was thrown apart by an attack of the new fleet, the Hamriel had to fight a brutal war of survival when their ship was crippled beyond repair, and the Life ships, alliance  and minor Vorglockie factions had to fight a brutal war of survival with the invader race, the Kalkara.

The Vorglockie were quickly thrown into civil strife when Hintred, his entire hive along with other hives disappeared quite suddenly from the face of the planet. The immediate aftermath was civil war, many of the remaining hives suddenly declared themselves the successor of Hintreds empire, resulting in brutal civil war. Many of these successor states rejected the peace proposition of the alliance and fought more wars with them, although most efforts were concentrated on the persecution of the Karlask as despite, or perhaps because of, continued civil war, the Vorglickie proved formidable opponents, and didn't seem to give up, and only when faced with mass hive genocide would they talk peace. By 1171 there were twelve major succesor states left, and only three were at peace with the alliance with only one in cooperation with it.

The alliances hopes for sector wide peace were shattered not once, but twice. First it was shattered by the disappearance of Hintred which threw the Vorglockie into civil war. The successor states all rejected the peace, except the one that was made up of the Hives who had most fiercely resisted Hintred, who agreed to peace and even a place in the Alliance. Despite this the Vorglockie civil war raged for some time with no clear victor in sight, some hives were swallowed up while others were destroyed completely. In the meantime the Alliance prepared to send a diplomatic envoy to the new race, whilst, upon realising that the Life ships were building up their technology and that they had successfully taken alliance technology, and so they began their own fleet build up, making more capitol ships till by 1171 they had tripled their number of capitol ships. In 1169 they sent their envoys escorted by one capitol ship and a bunch of fighters, they were happy when the Life ships did nothing to act against them, but then a disaster struck them. Followed by a war.

The Mariners found their problems being solved at first. The captured technology gave them access to shields and laser weaponry of unprecedented power, and this was combined with their own plasma and antimatter technology and their life ships to make the Ultima class ship. The rate of conversion also increased thanks to donated Hamriel technology and these new friends were eager to turn to the Mariners for aid. The colonists provided an excellent source of both manpower and intelligence when they finally started calming down, and the Mind, upon noticing the new ships asked the Hamriel for identification, the news was bad. The ships belonged to the warlike Kalkara who owned an empire which had in past, unsuccessfully challenged the mighty Ataqalaas who the Mariners were now aware of. Although this challenge had been unsuccessful it showed that the Kalkara were a powerful race, and they controlled a vast interstellar empire which they had conquered through their incredible military power. They were also highly aggressive towards other races. With this knowledge the Hive ordered the mass production of the Omega and Ultima ships reasoning that these Kalkara were probably watching and waiting for the best moment to strike.

He was correct as in 1169 the alliance sent a diplomatic envoy towards the Hamriel, which he elected to leave alone. But as it neared Vistig the Life ships detected that the enemy ships were on the move, to intercept the diplomats. The event was known as the ‘stinger’ incident for as the ship carrying the alliance diplomats arrived, five Kalkara ships showed up and began their assault. Just before they arrived however, two ultima and twelve omega class ships arrived to help the alliance, the crew, panicking, opened fire on the Life ships just as the Kalkara showed up. The battle was short as the Alliance ship was ripped apart, however the larger life ship fleet, backed up by cannon fire planet side from the Hamriel, allowed the Life ships to annihilate the Kalkara fleet.

The Kalkaras revenge attempt came swiftly, they attacked the Hamriel but found themselves driven back by overwhelming PTS fire before another Life ship fleet arrived to destroy the fleet. Over the next three years the Kalkara threw themselves at the Hamriel and Life ships, but found themselves driven away no matter how hard they tried to land, the Life ships were just too numerous. They soon found a softer target however, as they assaulted Ataskira. The small alliance fleet was no match for the Kalkara, who overwhelmed the fleet and then began landing operations, and despite heavy losses from alliance PTS guns, they were able to land a sizable force on the planet. The carnage that followed was incredible, the alliance found that the Kalkara ground technology and tactics to be overwhelming. And the divided Vorglockie were even easier pickings, by 1179 they had destroyed three hives, subjugated three more, and burned more than twelve Salmass, Karlask and Kel’nar cities to the ground. And by this time many alliance leaders were thinking of appealing to the Life ships for aid, many had pleaded to the Ataqalaas, but they were told that they would have to solve their own problems by themselves.

Hintred and many of his followers, meanwhile, found themselves sent to a new world, from which they had to build a new civilisation. It was crude, but it did its job, and large numbers of Vorglockie like Hintred began to spring up from out of nowhere, and although they were still dumbfounded as to how they got here, they lived in this new nation with relative peace.

Dammed Kalkara, dammed high council, dammed Slask. The Kalkara’s presence here was rather unnerving and quite disruptive, as she looked on she remembered the Kalkara, they owned a vast interstellar empire forged on conquest and expansion, and they had even tried to take on the Ataqalaas as well, although they lost they still were a major threat considering how long the war went on for. But the worst part was the High councils refusal to allow her to attack the Karlask, something about the depleted Ataqalaas military possibly losing to them, disgusting. And then there was Slask, when he had first asked her to build a new world she had laughed him off, at least until he had said he was serious. After a long discussion and argument about why they couldn’t build one, she had eventually let him use the Bio Sphere. But that had risks with such an advanced species, if the Vorglockie inside the Biosphere found out where they actually were then it would be chaos.

Time to try something unorthodox.

>Weaponize a Volcano against the invaders.
>Speak to the Life-ships.  Plead to their sense of stopping genocide.
>Pick up the pieces of the diplomatic relations.
>Pull all races that are members of the alliance into the mountains.
>Use the mountains against the Kalkara (landslides, narrow passes, etc.)
>Store DNA of all on planet races in a massive databank, that will have instructions to clone from the DNA if the rest of the planet falls.  Seal this bunker when it is proven to be secure and operational.

Yay! This is back!

Hmm, there's an unoccupied gas giant in the system right? I appear before the Vorloke in the Bio Sphere and start making vague prophecies about them desperately needing to grow both in numbers and technology in order to face an unknown foe far beyond anything they have ever seen before. I tell them that they are almost, but not quite, certain to fail, and that if they do all good in the universe will be lost forever. Finally I tell them that their current housing is under threat and they can't stay there, but need to prepare to be moved to the gas giant soon. I provide them with the tools to preform this modification, as well as vague hints to nudge them forward in technological development without actually doing anything FOR them.

And by live in gas giant, I mean breathing helium with their own lungs before the end of the next turn.

Well I never said there was, but i didn't say there wasn't and since i remember from somewhere that any livable planet has to have a gas giant to take the meteores then sure why not.

Also I'm gonna wait for SoHowAreYou to post but he doesn't seem to have been online snce, last month I'm wondering if i should post anyway

I'm online, I just finished up with band, so post will increase, please continue this.

O.K. plan,

Isolate Karlask, stop new ships from attacking mariner facilities, assess, expand minds power, converting a star if nessecary, invest in wormholes and dyson spheres to generate and move cheap energy, and finally, make two offers to the alliance, we will take a copy of their databank for free as backup, and give aid deemed appropriate by the Mind a.k.a. not too much, especially considering Hamriels get priority, in exchange for all research that we have not already been given, anything Hintred didn't give up, the Six brain treatment, and all other tech.

In preperation for war with the Karlask, regardless if we help or not, begin more mind uploads, the best strategists and soldiers can be copied, same test, only this time don't wipe them, put them in to bodies which boost their thinking and strength.

Counter-offer, when one gives a piece of technology, the other must give one of equal value.  Value will be negotiated by the two involved.
