After carefully watching the Engineers apply the Hull Mods you decide to give your crew some Liberty... right after they clean the ship.

While you go off, looking for rumors and contracts that could be taken.

This is what you found out:
Apparently there is a Pirate Starbase in this Sector.
A bounty has been placed on a Pirate named "Annabelle" and her ship "The Black Daemon".
The Independent Traders are doing excellent trade in this Sector, and so have halved the guards in their fleets, to speed up the trading vessels.
An old looking man tells you that his ship recently got attacked by Pirates and was too damaged to repair, He's looking for a new crew to join. +1 Veteran Crew (Y/N?)
The Pirates in this Sector are pretty cowardly, most of the time they'll run at the sight of a fleet even slightly more powerful than them or even the same.
A retiring Trader is giving out a contract for his last job, to deliver supplies to a neighboring system.
A Hegemony Officer is asking people to map the system, and to discreetly spy on the Tri-Tachion.
A Tri-Tachion Officer is giving out free credits courtesy of the Tri-Tachion Corporation. +200Cr
While exploring the station you find a partially dismantled Repair Drone +1 Repair Drone
You find out there is a shop on the station.
After your crew finished cleaning the ship most of them went to the local Pub, and got very drunk +1 Drunken Marine +17 Dunken Regular Crew +6 Drunken Green Crew -1 Marine -17 Regular Crew -6 Green Crew.
While exploring you find a Kitten sitting in a box that says "Free to a good home" (Adopt as mascot Y/N?)

After telling the Old Man where your ship is docked you rip down Annabelle's Wanted poster and take it with you, you take the Traders Job, after giving the Kitten a stroke on the head you leave it behind.

After coming back to the ship you find out that your crew got excessively drunk, which causes you to yell at them for being so stupid as to think we weren't going to go today.

Crew Status: 17 Drunk Regular Crew, 1 Drunk Marine, 6 Drunk Green Crew, 3 Marines, 1 Veteran Crew.
Crew Relations: Slightly Annoyed.
Morale: Good.

Contract:
"To whom it may concern;
This contract authorizes you to make two (2) free of charge Warp Jumps at the Hegemony Controlled Warp gate, any more Warp Jumps and The Hegemony will deduct 1000Cr for each additional Jump.
The Cargo you will be hauling is: 35 Supplies, 2 Dismantled Flak Cannons.
Due in 3 Weeks."

Bounty:
This bounty is for "Annabelle" and her ship "The Black Daemon" an Enforcer Class Destroyer Included is a Picture of a ship of the same class

She is wanted Dead or Alive, more Credits will be payed if she is alive, similarly more credits will be payed if you manage to bring her ship back in a Salvageable Condition.

Let's head to our destination and drop off the goods and then put the funds we land in our pockets for future repairs. We need to do some pirate hunting after the cargo mission.

After you calm down you tell the crew to load the ship with the supplies from the Contract.

When that is done you board your ship and sit down in the captains chair. You tell the crew to prepare for leaving the station.
Goodbye! We hope you *BZZT* your stay at the Royal Domi-i-i
"Blasted old tech always breaking" You say quietly to yourself.

After you leave the Station you check your Tac-Map set in the arm of the captains chair.

You set off towards the Warp Gate. Unluckily, its on the other side of the system, the fastest way to get there would be to go across the Star, but that would risk some damage to your ship and cargo, since it has no shield.
WARNING: YOU ARE NOW LEAVING HEGEMONY PATROLLED SPACE. WE ARE NO LONGER OBLIGED TO ASSIST YOU.

Location: In Neutral Space, near Corvus II

Set the ship on auto-pilot, set a course to travel a safe distance away from the Star, and set a command for a reminder when the ship is near the jump-gate. Until then, let the drunk crew sleep it off.

After plotting a course into the console in front of you the Old Man steps forward and looks over your work.
"We could pass a lot closer to Corvus than that y'know." He says as he steps over to the nearby navigation console. He plots a course while leaving your interposed on top of it. His course takes you closer to Corvus than you would like but it would save a day and a half of travel time. Use old mans new course Y/N? (Total Travel time without new course: 5 Days)

After setting up an alert for when you enter the Warp Gates gravity well as you mull his suggestion over, man you could use some sleep right now.

((I probably should do some bigger updates on this, hey?))

No. If Corvus is the Star, tell him that we can't go too close, or we'll risk damaging our ship. We need all its power to fight off anything that shoots at us.

Tell him we're considering it, but that we'd like to know his reasoning - we're not going to be within repair range for a while. If he's done it before and never had damage (or gotten very minimal) we ought to take it. If he's just BS'ing then we can wait.

"Have you done that route before?" you ask him. He hesitates a little before he replies "Uhm... Why yes of course I have! I was a trader before I joined your crew." Picking up on his hesitation you delete his course from the map and settle in for a few hours (at least) of rest.

You are woken up by soft pings - slowly getting louder as you look around the Bridge of the ship.
you realize that the pings are coming from a nearby ship - A Lasher Class Frigate. You seen to be out of its sensor range for now as it doesn't seem to be changing course to avoid you. Its path intersects yours the closest point is 1KM away of one another.

Ship Registration Number: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX [CANNOT VERIFY WITH SHIP RECORDS]
Arms: [UNKNOWN], Shielding

Can't verify it? Review what we know about unverified ships, see how far away we can HAMMER THE HELL out of it if it happens to be something we can kill, and possibly sound general quarters.

If it's nothing we should try to annoy, divert course to be not 1 KM away.
