Make a torch or two out of the surrounding plants, and cut off a long straightish branch and then head inside the pyramid cautiously, looking around for pressure pads, tripwires or holes in the walls, floor or ceiling.

You're about to make a torch when you realize the inside of the pyramid is already lit. You can't identify the light source....it's like light is coming out of the air. You shrug and walk inside, with Ferren in tow.

The pyramid has no traps, as far as you can tell. You walk down a straight, stone path, and reach a wall. There's something inscribed in it. You step forward to get a better look and hit a pressure plate. The floor behind you rises, cutting you off from Ferren and any escape route. The inscription reads:

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

There's two buttons within reach, one with a picture of a chicken above it, another with a picture of an egg above it.

Pauly, despite not being left-handed, runs as fast as he can away, doing his best to suppress the pain and bleeding.

[1-1] You start running away. Catering to your stump, you fail to see a log and trip over it, hitting your head on a rock. You go unconscious and never wake up.

Search for any long sticks to use for poking around and begin following Axel.

[5] You find a very thin stick near the pyramid, perfect for trap setting, but otherwise worthless in combat.

You follow Axel into the pyramid. It appears to be lit by some unknown source, as if the light were coming out of the air itself. You together walk down a stone path, and reach a dead end. Axel takes a step closer and all of a sudden the floor between you rises, cutting you off from Axel. You stand there, dumbfounded.

Everyone. Competitor 2 has been eliminated. Your chances of survival have just gone up a little more than 21%! Congratulations.

Search for a different switch other than the two mentioned. Don't push it though if I find it. Tap on the walls to see if I can find hidden compartments where it sounds hollow, check if there is an uneven bit of floor or wall or ceiling, spit on the back and palm of one of my hands to check if there's a breeze coming from somewhere by one side of my hand feeling colder than the other and examine the writing more closely for more hidden switches. How is it written anyway?

Ceiling. Rock. Floor. Rock. Walls. Rock. All colored the same dusty brown. Though surprisingly, you don't kick up any dust when walking about. Poking the region above you does nothing.

Curse you! That was for the players to find out. I was hoping I could end the game next turn. All day today I was thinking of how I was going to run the 2nd game. But no. You ruined it. You destroyed my excitement. Now I sigh and sit back in my chair.

1...2...3....4. +1 who reserved a long time ago. We're already filled up, and I haven't even started the 2nd one! And here I was thinking this would die at any moment, and I could focus on my LP. However, the winner gets a free reserve for next game and a small bonus to give them an edge, so I guess I'll have 6 players for next game. Unless Ferren wins, of course.

You stomp on the floor. Oh. There is a chamber beneath you. A spike filled pit no doubt.

You press 'egg'.

You nervously wait as sounds of machinery slowly crank for 10 seconds. Finely, the wall in front of you starts to lower. The path continues further on.  It reaches a large room with a high ceiling. It splits into three more paths, along with an entryway into another, smaller room. In the smaller room sits a small basket of eggs, but otherwise there is nothing else in it.

The three paths have lower ceilings, and each has an inscription at the entryway. One appears to have vines on it, another a fish thing, and the last one a spike. Hm.

You decide to name the paths 'vine, fish, spike paths' and the room 'egg room'.

Search for any slits or impressions on that rock.

Look if I can climb that rock.

The rock, which you now realize is a wall, is perfectly smooth and vertical, making climbing impossible. It doesn't help it's connected to the ceiling.

You start panicking, thinking you're trapped, when you realize that the path out of the pyramid is unobstructed, as far as you can tell. You're just cut off from Axel at the moment and exploring the pyramid further.

I'll save you the trouble and state that there are no hidden traps, and if there are, examining won't help. Smart thinking is the only way to 'disarm' traps.

Also, the wall is still up, blocking escape for Axel, just in case I didn't make it obvious enough.
