I cannot tell you how much they have changed the pressure, as I am a social scientist and writer as opposed to a scientist, but let's just say that after a few CFC loaded rockets, some drill-n-nuke, and about ten years, they've managed to make it survivable.

You begin to grow tired of these humans. You designate the Listener as Stampy, and whisper to him that the experiment is coming to an end soon and that he and his buddies should find a way to be more useful alive than dead. Stampy makes the nod You have come to associate with affirmative answers, and makes mouth-noises. His humans start to do various tricks, such as digging into the soil, making primitive gun shapes with their hand and exploding noises, and simulating typing on a computer. The Listener himself mimes talking to one Human, then quietly concealing his mouth and making noises to You, glancing back at the other human who appears oblivious.
You gather that they are offering labor, and create an image of Yourself, surrounded by the elements you have. Gold is very specifically NOT there. A brief pause, and the Listener's sub-hive commandeers the computer, brings up an image of the Earth, and creates a chart where a thin slice comes out - fully 98% of the planet sits under a representation of You, while the small slice has You being held up by dirty humans while the more familiar Humans alternate between bowing to you and striking the human laborers.
Labor now, reward later, with most of it going to Us? It's a question of loyalty. You use their four-panel visual communication system and draw a Kai-Human victory over other Humans, followed by Humans turning around and attacking the Kai. The other shows a mass drop, and the image of a supernova'd sun. Stampy's sub-hive responds with a hierarchy with You up top, and humans that resemble them
considerably lower than you. The next image is of the Kai absolutely demolishing the Landship and its occupants. It would appear that the Humans are not loyal to their own race, but their own greed and desire to not be vaporized.
This can be worked with, although You still don't trust the Humans. Surgery and mind control would do as a start. As you go to leave, you see the Listener scrunching his face, eyes closed, as his lips move. You vaguely sense incredibly faint psychic noise coming from the human, but are unable to decipher the language. He taps on the glass and indicates the Limbless Human, then draws his thumb across his throat and points again. You take the Limbless Human out from the lab, and once out of sight, snap his neck and toss him into the Synthesizer.
Unable to decide between options, You take a bit of Royal Jelly and whisper to Stampy that he should feed a human the substance. A human who is not Stampy takes a bite and makes the same disgust-face as before, but eats it nonetheless. She seems to be fine, although her pupils are very dilated. With nothing further to do, You set off back towards the Lab to begin the assembly of more machines for vehicles and rockets. If a mass drop is a risk, the solution is to prevent it, and a few tons of rock and scrap metal would do the trick quite nicely.
The Tech Drone completes the Magnetohydrodynamic Propulsion System by the time you finish assembling more fabrication machines, while the Drones continue to furnish the Human containment area with items taken from the ship not vital. After this, you study Human technology. The Human technology is primitive and far less advanced than yours. Most of their parts are honestly scrap, but You find that it can be put to use, such as by adapting the railguns into Anti-Air Rapid-Fire Doublebarrel Rail Cannons.
Night falls. Some Drones are beginning to get hungry. You begin to grow tired of micromanagement of food, and decide to set general orders for food consumption so as to not have to make choices every night. You check on the Humans to find the female drone that ate some Royal Jelly to be highly intoxicated. Curious, you Whisper to her, but nothing seems to happen.
