I said more like zerg queen than Xenomorph queen, but I didn't said "totally zerg queen". No humanoid, okay, but we need prehensile limbs, that is, arms (no arms no tools!). So I think we look like a zerg queen with lots of legs, less human-looking torso and of course antennae.

You and Us work on the design for a point defense system using a mostly-broken-down point defense for blueprints and such. After spending the remaining half of the night in designing it, We produce an Experimental Light Pulse Cannon. It is rather jury-rigged, but the test-fire bores a solid hole through the rock that heats up the Hive further

With the remaining time left before dawn, you create three Light Pulse Blasters. They are inferior to Your own Light Energy Machine Gun, but superior to the single Light Energy Blaster in rate of fire. You equip our Soldiers and spend the remaining hour or two of dark in the Flower Chamber, thinking thoughts of growth and unity.

Morning comes.

You once again notice that We are hungry. Your own Queen's Flowers produce two units of Food, and you harvest a single dose of Royal Jelly. Out of the nine live plants, seven thicken and grow their second Flower; two remain stunted in their growth. Naturally, Our Nurse and Queen are fed first, but that still leaves Our Warriors one further food cycle before death. The Drones can still survive for two food cycles.

- You may cannibalize the Ship. The weather and cold is causing damage to the Ship; you suspect that it will be entirely scrap in two more days unless a storm comes. 1 day.
- You may lay eggs and experiment upon the Larvae. 1/2 day.

- You can travel to the Curious Structure and spend the night there. 1 day.

I think we should gather the remains of the ship, we might find food and usefull stuff there. Then I think we should finish the agricultural earthworks. We can feed the warriors the death flowers, and other things we can do at night.

Also, how exacty does this synthesizing works. Me thinks you're  breaking the The laws of Thermodynamics. More accuratelly, the "You can't create energy" one. Unless, we as Queen have a special powersource, or we can use the reactor to provide the power of course. If we can use the reactor then I propose the following actions:

-Search the ship. All of us
-We create a nutri-o matic (Creates food out of energy automatically) while the aliens of lower intelligence complete the Agricultural Earthworks.

Biotech becomes untenable in long time space flights. It's benefits, own food production and selfrepair, are negated in the enclosed envirronement of a spaceship. Because of it's higher rate of energy usage, a biotech ship would quickly starve. Therefore, we have our own portable suns. (Biotech is also often portrayed in sily or wrong ways in fiction)

Not necessarily. Bioship would not starve if you made it right,, and stuff can hibernate or be created with strong outer shell and appropriate size. Besides, last I heard pincers and claws are no good when trying to maintain high tech.
Or you know, you could try creating bioreactor that converts hydrogen into energy as it flies through space and nebulae. Much more manageable and no need for useless weight that is shielding for neutrons coming from fusion reactors. Unlike bi-peds, we have more options and solutions.

The Fusion Reactor is a very efficient device for the creation of energy. It is a smaller model of the massive fission/fusion engines in the Ship. For all intents and purposes, the Hive has effectively infinite power output; with enough devices, however, a larger or multiple Reactors will be needed.

Also, you are of the Mind, not the Body. You invent devices through the scientific method, not simply attempt to evolve devices. 

The Synthetic Food is simply a chemical compound that closely mirrors the composition of elements in the Flowers of Life, used in combination with certain bacteria present on yourselves and the terraformed planet to create basic nutrition. It tastes awful, but it is something. It is slightly more nutritious than the Dead Flowers, and is made from the remains of the Elemental Stash and corpses, although pretty much any biomass can be used. It is entirely possible to study the Dead Flowers to improve the quality of the Synthetic Food.

The Nurse has the ability to separate elements from biomass, fueling itself off of a portion of it and saving the rest for reserve.

Yup, breaking the laws of thermodynamics. See, food has a high energy chemical potentiall. Otherwise it wouldn't be food. In order to create food from materials, you'd need to add the energy from somewhere. Unless the bacteria are photosynthetic or the basic elements contain energy of their own, you wouldn't be able to create food.

Therefore:

First half: Search ship
Second half:
 -Us + Upgraded repair drone: Make synthetic food replicator
 -Everyone else: Finish the earthworks

For food management, I think we should feed the warriors some of the death plants, while using the Royal Jelly to upgrade, evolve ,adapt the repair drone to it's intended tasks.

Bugs are replaceable, the tech in the ship is not.(Not as easily anyway.)

You didn't mention that reactor anywhere in the creation recipy, and since I'd asked about it, I assumed it wasn't used.

Can the nurse extract substances from the air as well? If so, we should harvest some carbon dioxide and break it up into carbon and oxygen. We should be able to use the carbon to feed the plants better.
