Awsome game, I reckon that we need a name right now, how about The Kai and would we be able to communicate vocally with other life forms?

ATT and 2Wire ate my post. So, short version.

You cannot fix the reactor by Yourself, and the drones are busy creating a growing chamber off to the side. The beginning Earthworks are complete.  Night strikes hard and fast with a storm. The scouting Drone is lost to the force of the winds without detecting anything, but its last vision is of a broken metal chevron that is sparking. Your Flying Warrior suffers wing damage, and a broken leg from the fall before your remaining Soldiers file inside and close the makeshift door.

It is bitterly cold, and very uncomfortable. Our body heat keeps the Hive liveable, but only barely. You consider the possibility of creating insulation from available soil and air elements.

EDIT: You have the Mind Speak. If other races cannot Speak back, they are not worthy for communication. Given more genetic experimentation (and possibly examining the Biped corpses) You could engineer the ability to speak, but... You do not see much point in it.

It is not our fault that the punny bi-peds are incapable of mental communication. Cease any and all communication with bipeds until they evovle past this primitive state of verbal communication.

No, we need to intervene for their benefit, and bring them under our benevolent leadership.

The night passes.

Come morning, You discover that out of the twenty Flowers of Life We have planted, nine survived. Yours, of course, is a bit bigger and produces another Flower; the rest are simply struggling for life. Several larvae have developed into Drones. A few eggs have matured enough to produce Warriors.

Your Warriors take up a patrol route around the nest, aside from the wounded Flying Warrior. The Nurse should have it healed by mid-day, if We are lucky. The Navigation Drones have created a basic "map" of the surrounding area using stored memories from the over-fly, planetary maps, and instinct. About three-quarters of the day to the northwest is some sort of hexagonal building. It appears to have bipeds in it, but not Bipeds. Possibly robots?

[You are:
1 Queen Alien
1 Level 3 Nurse Drone
2 Level 2 Navigation Drones
20 Basic Drones
1 Flying Warrior
4 Basic Warriors
15 Drone Larvae
1 Small Fertile Flying Spy Drone Larvae, Generation 0
88 Eggs
10 Drone Eggs
2 Soldier Eggs
10 Flowers of Life

You own:
A Partially Damaged Reactor
A Bunch of Spare Parts
Point Defense Laser
A Lot of Damaged to Intact Metal Plating
Many Computer Parts / Wiring
19 Dormant Flowers
Relevant Tools
A Queen-Sized Light Energy Machine Gun
A Soldier-Sized Light Energy Blaster
Dead Biped Test Subjects
11 Dead Flowers of Life
A Sensory Array

Your Nest:
A Queen's Chamber with A Flower Pit
A Flower Chamber with Nine Flowers of Life
Constructed Earthworks]

Section off an area of the surface, via earthen works, for the purposes of flower construction.

Sorry, I forgot to put in the projected options at the end of that post. Any choice is a good one at this point.

- You can gather Us and repair the Fusion Reactor. You can further have the Nurse render a Dead Biped Test Subject into its component elements to get the Reactor started and have a source of elements. Not much, but better than nothing. This leads to SCIENCE and the manufacture of such compounds as Iron, Glass, Nylon, Fiberglass, Gypsum, and the like. It will take about half the day.

- You can personally inspect the Curious Structure with a Warrior escort. There is some danger to this, but you are tough. You will have to spend the night away from the Hive.

- We can spend the entire day taking every last bit of the Ship apart. The more time spent on this with Your personal guidance, the more We can extract.

- Whatever you prefer. We are only making suggestions. Earthworks Garden is a very valid choice.

- Lay eggs, experiment upon larvae for evolutionary purposes. Half-day.

- Examine Biped Test Subject corpses. Half-day.

spend half the day fixing the reactor. If our drones are capable of tunneling deep vertical shafts, have a few make one until the temperature reaches the edge of their tolerance. Otherwise work on breeding some drones capable of this.

Also let's spend some time insulating our nest. Is there a way we could produce some sort of biological insulation, like a wax or something else maybe?

Temperature control and food are the most vital things we need now, without those we will not survive a few more nights.

dig a deep tunnel (not quite vertical, so that traversing up and down is not as hard), on Earth, you would only need a 5m deep tunnel to insulate from most daily temperatures, 30m would remove almost all seasonal variation also.

build earthworks, to defend flowers from weather; 50% loss each night will result in non-survival. This is not acceptable to Us.

fix the fusion reactor; power is going to be critical to survival;

(edit: formatting fix)
also ; geothermal: hadn't thought of that ...

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
Hell if I know.  Pretty humourous suggestion, but utterly useless in the case of roleplaying, if indeed the whole game world was one whole huge ass field of fruit.

If we have any non-human corpses left, we can extract water from them and use the hydrogen to fuel the generator. A single body should keep it going for years, considering how small our energy needs are. Fusion should take care of all our heat problems, at least while the nest is small. We can also use geothermal energy, hence the borehole.

Store 4 of the dormant flowers until we have the means to recreate their optimal conditions.

Insulate the hive and then fix the reactor.

P.S.
How would you feel about a suggestion thread for the humans resisting the alien invaders?

Do everything necessary to get the reactor online and create an electric heat source.
