The discovery of third Borg Cube have sent population into panic mode. Not that we're surprised. (Good thing there's no morale minus for appearance of Borg in the game!)
Yridian, Takaran, Shelia and Sol shipyards are going to be mass-producing ships. Mainly Miranda-class destroyers and Galaxy-class cruisers.

Diplomatic cluster-fuck happens, but honestly AI is too dumb to take on a Borg Cube. We bought USS Trieste, Galaxy-class cruiser at Shelia, whilst Takara and Yridia systems finished USS Majestic B and USS Miranda B, respectively.

Indeed, the best course of action may very well be to kill off the Cardassians and Romulans before the Borg can kill us or any combo of civilizations that leads to our losing.

We can't beat the Borg.  But we don't have to.  We just need civilization deaths to line up our way.  Then, the almighty Borg Cubes will be crushed by the Victory Screen of Doom!

(Or, if you want to roleplay, then after the Cardassians and Romulans perish, Q steps in, snaps his fingers, and announces the Borg are no more.)

Borg attacked Federation (second cube warped to Kurill system). Admiral Cain and his combined fleet has been ordered to wait at the border for Delta Vega Fleet to arrive. 9 ships can make a difference between plausible and pyrrhic victory.
Shipyard news: USS Brunswick B, Miranda, Yridia shipyards.
We also got reports that both Cardassian and Romulan fleets are gone after they tried to destroy the Borg themselves.
How ironic. We tried to destroy Romulans and Cardassians on our own but now we have to fight those that did it for us.

I was worried for a while, but it must be Cardassian offers to Klingons, not the other way. Cardassians lost Nimbus system.

USS Exeter A, Ambassador cruiser, left Utopia Planitia yards and wil lsoon join the haste-made fleet from Yridia.
Delta Vega Fleet is ready to warp in synch with Admiral Cain's Fleet.

We lost 15 ships; 4 Oberths (Biko (our first military ship, rest in pieces I guess! :C), Andromede, Stingray, Cortes), 11 Mirandas (Everett, Newport, Somali, Kirkland, Lachlan, Condamine, Sakai, Venice, Berkeley, Alameda, Stratford // All of them 'A' names).

And reinforcements are already getting big! Yridia fleet is en route, and our shipyards at Takara, Shelia and Yridia just finished: USS Coronado B (Miranda), and pair of Galaxy-class cruisers: USS Bolzano and USS Tyokai!

As you can see, the victory lifted the spirits of our citizenry. Everyone is contributing to the construction of new warships, so we get new ones in mere 1 to 4 turns, depending on system. Yridia is, of course, on 1st place in terms of production.

Poor Cardassians. They are mercilessly slaughtered by millions. Babel system just got 'purged' and the capital of the Union - Cardassia - is in process of being annihilated.

So much for Cardassian Union.

PS: If you worry about promotions - do not. All who took part in the battle will be promoted one ship-class up. I have to sort through remaining ships and redo fleets again, so this is chaotic. As far as I see Captain's roster: Nix (NRDL) and Jack Roberts (Iituem) get an Ambassador, and Euchre Jack Jr. (Euchre Jack ) gets a Galaxy-class cruiser.

BTW, Hyo, pick your damn ship already. Can be Ambassador-class, if you want
