Hey there everyone, Alex here once again to let you all know about the latest bundle I've helped prepare for GamersGate.
As always, the Indiefort Bundle will cost 6 $, and you get 6 great games, that's a buck a game.
The twist is that you can donate MORE money directly to the devs, we only take our cut of the 6 dollars so if some kind soul were to donate 100 the other 94 would be evenly distributed between the six devs. It's our way of giving back to the community without being money grubbers, as we feel that the true protagonists of these bundles should be the dev's, not the company behind the sale.
In any case I like being transparent about the cut as well, just so everyone here is on the same level and there's not smoke & curtains stuff going on.
Gamersgate and I take 30 % of the first 6 dollars of every sale, the rest goes directly to the devs in equal distribution. There is no favoritisim, there is no one game better than the rest that deserves more, there are NO superstar players who get more due to popularity, equal split all the way.
As for what we do with out percentages. Keep in mind that we put a LOT of work into the project itself, our marketing, preparing the servers, handling the sales, distributing the money, contract work, licensing the games themselves to be on gamersgate in the first place to be able to do an adecuate distribution whilst not having to create a secondary system just to do so (distribution by inclusion, very smart and effective.).
We also make sure to speak to all the big name sites about these games, and even get the word out to VERY talented you-tube let's players out there like Yogscast and PaulSoarsJr.
We try our hardest but without a doubt the best publicity possible is word of mouth from fans, so if you enjoy the bundle itself please, feel free to let your friends know, or even better, post about it in reddit if you have the time! I'm sure the dev's will be absolutely ENTHRALLED to have your support!
Now on to the games themselves.
*Edit* Updated to contain links with info regarding the games, thanks for the patience.
1. INTRUSION 2. Yes, you heard right, we are LAUNCHING Intrusion 2, one of 2011's most anticipated titles, exclusively. Vapgames wants to offer his awesome metal-slug like in indiefort on launch day. Keep in mind that the game will cost considerably more on steam when it hits, so take advantage while it's up! Here's a video of me playing it (I curse so keep the link child-safe!)

http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-3079/3079 Yes I work pr on 3079, yes I included it, but the game is so wildly popular that it'd be silly not to have included it in such a great lineup!
3. Aztaka.
http://www.gamespot.com/aztaka/This platformer was running for indie of the year a few years back and it's easy to see why. A great side-scroller with well thought out levels and a really particular style.
4. Dark Scavenger.
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-DARKSC/dark-scavengerA choose your own adventure style game with a really fun pokemon-like battle system, what can I say, I'm a sucker for games like this!
5. Fortix 2.
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-FORTIX2/fortix-2 The sequel to an awesome puzzler that to this day is still installed on my hard drive and psp
.
6. Demise: Ascension.
http://www.decklinsdemise.com/intro.phphttp://www.decklinsdemise.com/Ascension%20Introduction%20IFB2/AscensionIntroduction.htmlYeah, this one is incredible, an OLD OLD OLD OLD OOOOOOOLD school rpg reminiscent of ultima underworld or eye of the beholder, but on crack... with multiplayer... automated battles.. infinitesque loot system... cruel poo-your-pants difficulty. Did I mention it is usually sold for almost 30 bucks? There's that too ^^.
www.indiefort.com is the site, it will be up VERY soon, sometime today. Until then it'll just link you to the indiefort section of Gamersgate, check in every so often to see if it's up or not, it shouldn't be too long!
Once again guys, thanks for your consistent support, thanks for all the help over the years while I struggled to get into the business, thanks for always hearing me out, and a HUGE special thanks to both Toady and Hemmingjay.
You can follow indiefort updates (Perks, Unlockables, etc) at @alexpoysky via twitter
My personal skype is Alexpoysky I will ALWAYS accept you and chat with you via text if at all possible
my msn is
tiamat_2@hotmail.com , same as before I would love to hear what you have to say!
As an aside, things are going quite well for me in this are, well enough for me to actually consider leaving the military and doing this full time. My work with Cult's kickstart recently has shown me that I can indeed stretch my limits and help in many other ways now while still being able to keep working on Indiefort without a hitch. It'll be a stretch still but It's what I'm working for. If I could do this as a living I'd be able to help MANY more dev's full time and not just have to limit myself to a handful of games due to my constrained schedule!
