« on: June 15, 2012, 07:18:10 pm »

I got a flash update and a windows update recently, and now I suddenly can't play Youtube videos or even .gif's while using Firefox o_O  Anyone else having this issue?  I can't seem to find anything on Google that's recent...

edit: er ok found a fix for the Youtube problem, but I can't run .gif's still...

Nope, mine is fine and blocking every malicious script under the sun with ABP and Ghostery. Re-download flash?

Tried that, nothing changed... it seems all my avatars from Photobucket and Imgur refuse to work, gif or not.  No errors no nothing, just blank.

I can't actually see your avatar right now, so maybe the link on your avatar is just broken or somethin?

Unless it's doing it on more then that.

You used the link to the page for the image, not the image itself.

Does this work?

Wait, why are we talking about my blanked out avatar that Urist Imiknorris can inexplicably see?

Ahh that's what I did wrong.  My avatar should be visible now.  I reinstalled Firefox altogether, and it seems fine now.  Firefox was doing some weird things up until then, like selecting something from my favorites would open in a new tab (I didn't ask it to do that) and trying to scroll with the mouse wheel zoomed in and out.  I guess Firefox tried to update to a fancy new version but failed.  So I guess I have a fancy new Firefox install.  Huzaah!

edit: I can't see your avatar either o_O  It's very weird.

He did the same thing as you, image-wise.

Yeah, I dunno. I use Chrome, which spends a mere 50% of its time broken.

I haven't had any problems with Firefox, the one I had with youtube formerly was fixed by kicking myself out of the html5 beta I hadn't opted into in the first place.

Though I haven't touched recent, ridiculous version numbers either. I'm on the last non-Chrome afflicted version number, FF4, and not using the Giant Orange Button.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
