You decide to order some men to the caves and find out if these caves are worth anything. Course, you can't risk any of your people there; you instead send 10 slaves. Afleckt is dissapointed that you did not just send an expedition to occupy the place, but at least he isn't angry. Macdoffen does not seem entirely pleased with the prospect, but does say they are your slaves to waste, after all.
You say also that you will prepare an expedition to Gotch, as well as try to speak with the clans of Alheim. Macdoffen bows to yoru decision and says that Clan Macdoffen is prepared to pour resources into thos two tasks.
With that, you dismiss the clan-leaders, although you ask Leik if he captured any intresting beasts on his raid. The clan-father smiled and said if a giant rabbit counted.
With them away, you decide to think on what else there was to do. You toured the village and discovered that nearly all wood supplies came from traders. Non-trogoc coward lowlander traders at that. Despicable. You order that changed and thus send out a party to the woods in the south and order the treehugging traders killed.
The weeks pass. You have settled into the life of a chief, holding councils with the clans and speaking to your people. Often, you have to trudge up to the shrine and make a sacrifice, or execute one fool or another. Sometimes you see off a raid or look over the herds. Always however, the guardsmen follow. One of them, a dark man from the south named Keptos, has settled in to the life of the Trogocs with little difficulty. He's even taken to some Trogoc customs. He's also been making questions about the strengths of the clans, other tribes, and the country. Hemegger advises caution with him.
You've had no word from the slaves you sent to the caves, which now when you think about it, was a bloody stupid idea. Sending unguarded slaves to the middle of nowhere?! They've either been eaten or ran off...
As for your lumber expedition, the guards have sent word that they've been able to cut apart a few logs, but sending them back is difficult with the lack of men. They've also said that the locals have been watching them while they sleep...It's unnerving.
The expedition to Gotch is still being prepared, although no one is yet sure what should be sent. Hemegger says at this rate of expeditions, the village will have few men to defend themselves, except for the villagers.
