Movie tickets.
As a student I have a 'culture pass'. Which means the government pays my movie tickets. And my beer and popcorn :D.

Do occasionally buy stuff at an overinflated price... when I do it intentionally, it's usually because the cost of gas to go somewhere where the price is more reasonable would offset the price difference unless I bought ridiculous amounts.

Ferex: gallon jug of water in town is $1. Next town over, it's a bit less than $.90. Gas included, I'd have to buy... something like thirty-forty gallons of water (gallon of gas trip at $3.50ish) to break even. Which, I mean, I'd probably be willing to do that, but there's some logistics issues involved with such an endeavor. Also inb4 tap water -- the quality here is shit and has made me sick multiple times in the past. No.

Most common and hilarious ripoff I see, though, is people buying 20oz sodas(/pop/coke/carbonated death, whatever). Most of the time, the two liter bottles cost either the same, or less, which is just goddamn ridiculous. Want bottled caffeine, get huge pack of cheap bottled water (usually about $0.08 or so to the ounce) and whatever larger bottle of caffeine that costs the least in bulk. Drink water, fill bottle with caffiene. Come out waaaaay ahead in cost.

Paying more than a dollar for sweet tea when eating out. Which is virtually everywhere that serves it. I make my own tea at home, I know how much the ingredient cost is. Costs pennies per glass, but some places will charge you up to $2.50. Granted, most of those come with free refills, but you'd have to drink a LOT of tea for them to lose money on the deal.

What is 'sweet tea'?

Edit: Apparently chilled black tea with a bunch of sugar added. you americans are infidels when it comes to tea.

Nope. I don't buy Macs.
They're not even worth half of what they're priced

Makes your car smell like endless frying chips though.
And this is a bad thing? :P
In Sweden, movie tickets go for between $30 and $50. Feeling ripped of yet?

Where the hell do you watch movies, son? I've never paid more than $15-16 for a ticket. I mean, unless there was some real inflation in price in the two years since I last went, but still.
To clarify: movie tickets. In plural. For a group of people.
It was a bit unclear as I formulated it, but paying $50 to take the family to the cinema is extensive.

Healthcare, but only after almost dying and shopping around anyway, while bleeding internally; saving money but still getting ripped off somewhere along the process for just referrals. (not joking)

I just checked the price of a ticket for Prometheus, it's 145 SEK which is just under 20 USD. So yeah, taking tickets into account then that's a reasonable estimate.

I have bought stuff that I felt ripped off for, of course. Mainly lunch. I bought an incredibly overpriced grilled sandwich sandwich for lunch a couple of weeks ago, for instance. It doesn't feel that bad when you're hungry and buying the stuff, but when you've eaten you feel that you should definitely get something better than a mediocre, small grilled sandwich for 65 SEK (~9 USD)

Ever since my dad taught me how to actually cook (not just boxed stuff but from scratch and all that) I have felt ripped off anytime I have eaten out.

Edit: Expect in 'The Steakhouse' which sells giant slabs of meat for less then if I made it myself. I have no idea how they afford it.
