You are a Nanite! (Again)

I really liked the old You are a Nanite! game, and I figured it's been dead long enough I may as well start a new one.

>Accessible Data Streams: None
>Processors: Functional

You have activated on a metal plane. It is not sterile, and a number of unknown entities are located on it. You have unimpaired movement capabilities, and can easily manipulate any relatively inert compounds with your graspers. You are capable of transmitting information via radio waves, although the weak signal strength means your range is very limited. You have indefinite power in the form of solar panels at the moment, and a battery that can sustain around a day of activity when fully charged.

The metal appears to be mostly pure aluminum-27

You are approximately 2x1x1 microns. You have no blueprints installed in your memory, but you can devote processing power to coming up with one.

step one: replicate.


step 2: estimate the surrounding resources, and how far we can replicate before we run into resource trouble.


step 3: "other entities" -- check their status - size, composition, hostile?

Hell if I know.  Pretty humourous suggestion, but utterly useless in the case of roleplaying, if indeed the whole game world was one whole huge ass field of fruit.

Unfortunately, you are not capable of fully analyzing your own processors. You'll need to either design a new, less powerful one, or some sort of remote interface for any other bots you build.

Your supplies of aluminum are not determinable, but it stretches to the limits of your sensor range, indicating that there is enough for the structural components of millions of bots

There are a few dead skin cells, as well as inert matter like dust particles. There is also a fair amount of silica lying around, though not enough that a macroscale entity would notice anything.

You dig up enough aluminum to construct the frames of two miner nanites, but you aren't aware of any silica based circuitry design. You'll have to find a way of extracting silicon from silica, and then locate boron or phosphorus to dope it.

You also build the frames for gatherer nanites, but they have the same issue.

You build a larger antenna out of aluminum, but it isn't particularly effective. You'll need to locate a better conductor if you want to improve your current antenna without it being absurdly large.

We're a nanite; I'm pretty sure we should be able to manually break chemical bonds and isolate the silicon and use it for circuitry. (How do nanites have circuits actually, aren't they  to small to have them?). You'd almost have to use individual atom lines to get them to work.

Extract carbon from biological matter, make graphene circuitry.
