On a totally unrelated note, netting would be great as well. I'm talking about the stuff they use to catch circus acrobats, not for fishing. But I suppose that they could also be used for fishing, in the event of flooding...

And hmm...while no features or anything, so I'm not sure what is in it. But, it would be great to be able to build moats/walls and other defenses. Not many games have player-made moats. Or/and a lot of types of traps for underground.

I'm a sucker for these kinds of games. I would personally like to see the ability to choose wgat you're Gnomes will start with (think of DF's pick carefully aspect). Also perhaps different factions you can choose from (e.g. A farming type faction, a builer oriented one, a warior-like group. Those woukd be awesome to see in game. Also, this is avalible on Desura right?

A lot of good suggestions have already been offered, so I'll offer a strange one: the ability to send some of your people off-screen to setup their own, supporting outpost that would offer a number of small benefits (early warning system, trade, resources, something balanced along those lines) and maybe some new challenges, too.

As for a feature that I would like would be modding capability. Truth be told, I'm kind of a "vanilla guy", but sometimes when I get bored on a game after playing it a lot, I put some mods just for the fun.
