I can do the next guitar part, and rhythm under the solo if you want it, plus bass under part 2 and drums.
Ill do the next part because it seems like max is going to do rhythm under the solo, and ill do bass+drums when he does the rhythm.
Unless he lets me do it, cause i dont want to take someones turn.
By the way, could i get the solo in MIDI format? So i dont have to write all the stuff down in GP5
Go right ahead, bro. I'm working on another project.

This is what I was working on when I got sidetracked. Feel free to edit, remove bits, or throw it all out completely.

I like it. I'll try to expand it to the rest of Part 2.

Here is it, bass, guitar, and drums under part 2, enjoy.

Ill try to start part 3.

This, as well as MZ's part, will be mixed in shortly.

UPDATE:

This is frakking awesome.

Yes it is. I'm going to try to write a short transition between the two parts soon. (It's kinda jumpy.)

Realistic Sound Engine. Play GuitarPro tabs with mostly actual sort-of musical instruments!

Nah, I just use TuxGuitar's MIDI sequencer/synthesizer/whatever. It's pretty good, although probably not as good as RSE. I'm hoping at some point to record the guitar parts for this. Maybe we can get recordings of all the parts, and have a real recording of the song.

Hm... unfortunately the only instruments I can play very well are the euphonium and some keyboard. I guess I could convert the viola part to euphonium music; they're both very lyrical instruments with similar ranges.

In other news, I use Finale Notepad to write stuff.

I don't see a problem with doing the viola part on euphonium. I'm at a college with 23724387439587345897 band kids, so I can help find musicians if necessary.

I...am not nearly good enough on guitar to play any of this. I'm learning to play a little rhythm, but damn.

I can probably manage the rhythm parts, and I can pretend to be able to play the lead!

Actually, I have a good friend of mine who is really impressive with melodic playing. I'll see if she's willing to try it.

EDIT: I just realized something. The length of the piece is around 2:30. With my idea for the next part (a slower, more melodic part than 1 and 2), and some sort of 4th part, we'll end up somewhere around 8 minutes. We'll have created a 4-part high school marching band show.

Next step: Drill!

Well im quite good rhythm player, and can play non shredding leads, i feel like im getting better and able to play more and more complex stuff everyday. I can play drums too but i dont have enogh gear to record them for now, probably if we ever get real drums we gonna program them with EZ Drummer or something.

Part 2 sounds weird when there is both my and Maxs guitar part at the same time.

Ill start composing part 3.

Yeah, it does. Consider moving my track to part 3?

I like how your track mixes with the lead, and I also like how DarkWolf's track mixes with the lead. I'll just modify one/both a bit so they fit together better.
