campfire, how to delete it?

I placed a campfire by mistake in the middle of a caveway, so i can't go out

is there a way to delete it? is it eternal?

In my experience with them (I always light one at night), they burn out after a while. If you're in a cave, the smoke might be a bit of a problem, but the fire will go out on its own eventually.

Of course, I always slept on the surface world with companions... I lit one at night, and it was a pile of ashes by morning.
