A rather brutally honest fortune cookie...
« on: June 11, 2012, 02:10:10 am »

As I start mowing down on yummy fortune cookie, my joy is lessened by the dreadful accuracy of the assumption implied in its message:

"Stop procrastinating - starting tomorrow."

Oh s*** how did they know??? ;)

Ahhhhh screw it, I'll stop procrastinating tomorrow.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Chinese Restaurants are bastards.  That's just adding insult to injury.  I hate when you buy a meal for yourself and they give you like five sets of chopsticks and fortune cookies, like they expect a whole family to eat what you just bought.  Thanks a lot, you passive aggressive bastards.  Maybe you can sell me a five gallon tub of ice cream for when I cry on my bathroom floor tonight because a restaurant called me fat.

I like getting five fortune cookies to myself. They're tasty.

to be fair, they're probably worried they might offend someone who bought food for their whole family by offering only one set of chopsticks, implying that he\she looks like the sort of person who eats that much much food in one meal

also i love extra chopsticks, chopsticks are awesome to make tabletop siege engines

Bring a hook and chain, and launch it to nearby tables to plunder their food.

Meh, I prefer toothpicks. With good toothpicks, you have flexible, strong structures to base your constructs upon. Spinning pentagon toothpick array ftw

Once in fifth grade, I was messing around with a deck of cards and a rubber band, lightly shooting the pencil off of the cards. It had only gone to the edge of my desk up until it much to my surprise shot across the room and broke a person's compass pencil.
