Laugh maniacly while killing them all
The last time you laughed to yourself, you kept getting funny looks from Ashley. You decide not to humiliate yourself again.

You decide to take the initiative and take down those who aren't already. You aim at the Militia that Jim disabled, and fire once. Your shot nicks the Militia's left side, and he starts bleeding fairly heavily. He falls over, and starts trying to crawl away. Everybody else opens fire again, except Ashley, who's already wasted another 7 rounds, and Megan, who's recovering from her flashbang shock.
Bradley and Kyle team up on the unharmed Militia. They both fire 1 shot and the rounds hit the Militia in the chest and abdomen. He flies backwards about a foot, hits the dirt, and is still.
Steve gets tired of missing out on the "fun". He mounts his M249 on the side and opens fire at anyone on the ground. Dirt gets kicked up as 47 rounds fly out of his gun and hit the ground at high velocities. 24 rounds perforate the Militia attempting to crawl off. Another 19 hit the other Militia with the rifle. They both are still after being hit.

Take Them Captive they might be able to tell us if any of their buddies are around
This leaves one Militia alive. You tell the Captain, "There's still another militia Ashley and I disabled on the other side. Should we kill him?" "No, leave him alive. We'll take him with us. He could be holding actionable intel on what they're doing in the canyon."

What do you do now?

Interrogation time!
You run over to where the one living Militia was recovering from his flashbang shock. You grab him by the uninjured arm, angry. "C'mere, asshole! Tried to kill my friends, didn't you, you little bastard?! Now get the hell up off your ass and come with me!" You sling your rifle over your shoulder, pull out your pistol and shove the Militia in front of you. You angrily get him moving by jabbing him with the front of your pistol, and practically throw him onto the truck. "He's all yours, Cap," you tell the Captain. "Ask the punk whatever you need."

Take all The dead Miltia's weapons
You have some other squad-mates come pick up the weapons dropped by the Militia that were killed. The weapons found are:
- three AK-47 assault rifles; you quickly recognize from the curved magazines.
- an SKS Carbine, a semi-automatic rifle using the same ammo as the AKs.
- an old WWII-era bolt-action Mosin-Nagant Carbine with a folding bayonet.
- two PP-19 Bizon submachine-guns; the weapons have a very peculiar magazine design.

The Bizons do fire a 9mm round, but it is the shorter, less-powerful 9x18mm Makarov round, as opposed to the 9x19mm round used in Ashley and Megan's submachine-guns and handguns. Speaking of, you notice that Megan has almost recovered from her flashbang shock. You ask her how she feels. "Vision's still kinda blurry, but otherwise I'm fine," she replies.

You gave the survivor to the Captain for interrogation, you gathered new weapons and ammunition, AND you found a heavy weapon that might be useful later on. Now what is the squad going to do?

Everything is same as before, with the exception that Megan has fully recovered from her flashbang shock.

Reload, and remind everyone else to as well. See how the Captain is doing at interrogating the militia.

Reload, and remind everyone else to as well.
You consider reloading your rifle, but you recall only firing two shots, so you see little need to. You ask for everybody else to see if they need to reload their weapons.
- Bradley and Kyle also see little need to, as they also recall only firing a few rounds.
- You especially urge Jim, Ashley and Megan to reload; you tell them "Well, considering you three have automatic weapons, it's better to head in there with full mags than to rush in and have to reload the instant you start pulling the trigger." They decide to reload. Ashley and Megan use ammo from their handgun mags to refill the ones in their submachine-guns (the wonders of using two guns chambered in the same ammo!)
Remind Steve you fire 3 round burst from the machine Gun.
You ask Steve if he has to reload. "No thanks, two-hundred rounds ought to get me through," he says. "A hundred ninety-six," you correct him. "And the ammo left in your gun might just last you longer if you fired in short, controlled bursts, of like, maybe three to five rounds a burst," you also remember to remind him. Steve nods, and you walk off.

See how the Captain is doing at interrogating the militia.
You decide to walk over in front of the truck where the Captain is interrogating the injured Militia. You get there just in time to hear him ask, "Now, where are you holding the mutant insects?! Tell me or I'll blow your arm off!" he says, holding his pistol up to one of the bullet wounds. The Militia shouts in pain. You pull the hammer on your M1911 back until it goes click, and the Captain looks up and notices you. "If he doesn't spill the beans, I'll take the pleasure in blasting his arm off. I have the bigger bullet, anyways," you say. It's true; the .45 round used in your pistol is almost 1/3 larger than the 9mm round used in the Captain's M9, or in Ashley and Megan's MP5s, Hi-Power and P99, or any other 9mm firearm, for that matter. "Go ahead. Bastard hasn't told me a damn thing," he says. The Captain gets up, drags the Militia off the ground and shoves him up against the front of the truck. He stretches his arm out and you put your pistol up to one of the bullet wounds. You put your finger on the trigger. "No! No! Stop! Please! I tell you what you want! I promise!" the Militia shouts. "So he does talk," you say to yourself. "Alright, now tell me. Where are you and your buddies holding those giant mutated bugs?" you ask, with a slight hint of evil-ness in your voice. "In canyon, cliffsides, big buildings with big guns. Heavily guarded," he tells you in broken English. You turn to the Captain and ask, "'sat good enough for you?" "Yeah, sure. Good enough for me," he replies.

The Militia's spilled the beans, and you kind of know what you're gonna be going up against. What will you and the squad do?

((Could you not hold onto the part mag and then when you get another refill one of them from the second? I know that takes a while, but it's better than losing ammo.))

Anyway, we need to do something with this militia guy. We could just shoot him, or we can tie him up for command to deal with. I don't recommend letting him go.

You ask the Captain what to do with the Militia man. "I don't suppose we need him anymore, do we?" you ask. "Nope," he replies. You then ask, "What do we do with 'im, then?" "Well, whatever suits you." You then remember his bullet almost hit Ashley, and you're quickly enraged again. You angrily kick him on the ground by his injured arm. He shouts in extreme pain, and tries to crawl away backwards. You aim your pistol at his head. He says, "No! No! Don't kill me! I-" but you cut him short with a gunshot and a bullet right between the eyes. You lightly blow the smoke off the muzzle of your gun, toss it in the air, catch it, and put it back in your belt. "Won't be bothering us again," you finish his sentence, then spit on his corpse.

Everybody gets back on the truck in the spots they were before the attack, except for you and Bradley switch spots. The Captain once again gets the truck moving, but gets off to a slightly bumpy start (he rolls over the Militia's body) and as a result the whole truck shakes. Ashley was slinging her MP5 back over her shoulder as the truck shook, and she lost her balance and fell forwards, onto you. She flipped around as she was falling, and she wound up looking right at you. You both laugh briefly before you help her up, and hand her Springfield back to her, which slid under your seat. She says "Thanks," and you nod, but you continue to stare at her, into her beautiful eyes...

A few minutes later, the truck stops; the team has reached the edge of the canyon. The mission has started...

What will the squad do?

Well, time to spot those "big buildings with big guns" I suppose.
You and the team quietly move to a place on the canyon's edge to get a good look at what's down there. Close to the bottom of the massive cliffs (the canyon is about a mile deep), you and the squad see a HUGE research facility, along with large cages and tons upon tons of staff and soldiers; mainly poorly-armed Militia along with several squads of soldiers. You notice that there are many concrete bunkers and fortifications with large artillery pieces on top. "The 'big buildings with big guns', huh? Well, the guns are big. The buildings, not so much. Bastard was right on the place being heavily guarded, though; there are tons of soldiers down there," you say. You ask Megan to use her scope to see what nation the soldiers belonged to. She looks through and waits for a while. "Hard to tell... It's almost like New York down there... Wait, I got one..." she later says. "Red armbands with yellow hammer-sickle crosses on them. Definitely Russians. Wait, got more armbands... White circles with weird crosses in the middle..." You are confused. You ask what the cross looks like. She draws it in the soil with her knife. The shape is that of a swastika. "What the...?! Nazis?!? Are you kidding me?! The Nazis were extinguished over eighty years ago!!" Kyle says somewhat loudly. The Captain quickly quiets him, angrily whispering, "Shut up! They can hear the echo of our voices from here!" Kyle quickly quiets down. "Since when did the Nazis come back??" He asks, this time a lot quieter. Megan replies, "Don't know, but for whatever reason, there are Nazi soldiers down there, and they're not using those wimpy little MP-40s anymore. Hell no. They got AK-74s, SPAS shotguns, but they're still using those deadly MG42s..." Everybody shudders at the mentioning of the weapon, having some memory of losing a relative to one way back during WWII. "Either way, we need to see what they're doing." the Captain says.

Everybody needs to move to some position. The team finds a slope downwards into the canyon, and at a turn on the slope is a virtually unobstructed view of the entire facility, a perfect sniper spot. The slope continues downwards, turning back on itself often, but it eventually hits the bottom of the canyon.

Your team was only ordered to see what was going on, and not to attack.

What will the team do?
