Extensive and Detailed Family
« on: June 10, 2012, 09:36:13 pm »

I recently came across a priest on the roof of a temple. I decided to ask him about his family, expecting the "I have no family to speak of." response.
Much to my surprise, he did have a family to speak of and the answers were really interesting.
Quote from: Tikes Inidispran
I lost my youngest son to tragedy. In the midautumn of 262, the elf Aweme Catparch devoured Ugrad in Channeledlancers.

I had an older brother who used to live around here. In 241, Bil was struck down by the giant hyena Scoureddeep in the Routed Plains.

I had an older brother, he and I got along very well. In 221, Kas became a planter in Lakesneaks.

Ura Grovetoes was a terrific nephew. In the midautumn of 262, the elf Thithu Tundrascraped devoured Ura in Channeledlancers.

I had an aunt who was stuck in the past. In 254, Quamun died of old age.

I had an older sister, she often wandered alone for days at a time. In 212, Nedul became a ranger in Lakesneaks.

I had an uncle who never told the truth. In 228, Acik married Ushus Padscholar.

I had a niece who was too stupid to live. In 251, Woge married Rislu Crestedropes.

My wife Orid Foughtqueens was someone to avoid. In 233, Orid married me.

I had a cousin, he always listened to me. In 215 Onust married Wom Puzzlingtouched.

My maternal grandfather Bikda Hornhang was a friend to everyone. In 182, Bikda became a member of The Hoary Faith.

I had a niece, she and I hated each other. In 252, Canar married Busla Moralreleased.

My eldest son Pirni Ferriedscald was always waiting for something exciting to happen. In 268, Pirni was struck down by the giant tiger Failcircles in The Sensual Hill.

My wife Orid Foughtqueens and I often talked into the night. In the midautumn of 262, Orid was struck down by the elf Nine Felldents in Channeledlancers.

I had an aunt who once saved me from bogeymen. In the midautumn of 262, Shebi was struck down by the elf Nino Adorepolishes in Channeledlancers.

I had a niece, she often tried to make decision for me. In 231, Quemer became a farmer in Lakesneaks.

My youngest son Ugrad Riddledheld once fell into a river. In the midautumn of 262, Ugrad was struck down by the elf Aweme Catparch in Channeledlancers.

My mother Saquar Girdledname was always waiting for something exciting to happen. In 237, Saquar was struck down by the giant tiger Systemthreats in The Prairie of Splashing.

I could keep asking him questions but he'd keep going into more detail. I'm surprised he became a priest and not a giant monster hunting, elf slaying badass with nothing to lose. Anyone else find someone in the game that goes into THIS much detail about their family?

I went into legends and looked up his mother.
Apparently she was a gemsetter that turned into a monster hunter.

and I looked at his father, he was a fisherman turned monster hunter.

A rather interesting family I stumbled across, eh?
Edit: One of his brothers was also a monster hunter, but the other was not.

Edit #2: His sister was also a hunter.

Edit #3: Looking at the rest of the family, it seems they were very delicious, as most of them were killed and devoured by elves.

Funny how the ones who were always looking for excitement each got eaten by giant tigers.

When a game can really make you feel sorry for something like this...

This is just heartbreaking.

For this, I am going on elf-genocide.

First I need a posse from another civ, cause I cant just go and kill the king.

Man, this is depressing. So far it looks like he's the only survivor of his entire family. No relatives or anything are alive, they were all either devoured by elves or killed by giant beasts. I endorse elf-genocide now. I noticed that many of them died in 273, could something have happened on that year? Edit: YES. An elf group by the name of "The Sunken Winds" went around raiding and pillaging in the year 273.

Anyone want the save? It's in a really interesting civilization, run by a deity and vampire lord. The deity gave my character a quest to kill the vampire lord, but it's near impossible to find him.
Uploaded it anyways. The man I talked to is in the south-western part of the town Lakesneaks, in the temple called "The Bearded Abbeys".

No idea why, but I found that quite hilarious.

This is a mod, right? You really confused me because my Adventurer Mode conversations were never this elaborate.

You might have just met some particularly new people.

I mean, people do tell me stories about their families, but they never use phrases like "I had an aunt who once saved me from bogeymen" or "My wife Orid Foughtqueens and I often talked into the night". It's just "I have an aunt named ..." or "My wife is named ..."
