THis sounds quite a bit like the very failed RTD WARS with multiple GMs.

Have any constructive suggestions for us? I am not familiar with that game and the problems it had.

Try to keep the setting consistent enough to keep track of.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

What kind of game would that be? The title imply suggestion game, but you speak of RTD.

What have I gotten myself into...

The DF: Spaceship edition sounds cool.  Hard sci-fi, wanna see what that's about.

And yes, what is this magical sounding RTD?

We are definitely doing a suggestion game. I just wanted to get some insight into why another multi GM game had failed. Hope confusion is minimal.

I think thats it. Bit hard to find an RTD when everything has that in the title.

RTD mean "Roll to dodge". It's basically a really simple RPG system, where all rolls are made on a D6, with 1 being terrible and 6 being great/to great to be good. Modifier may apply.

What have I gotten myself into...

The DF: Spaceship edition sounds cool.  Hard sci-fi, wanna see what that's about.

Hard sci-fi= Realistic= Shipping floating through the void of space for ages. This would mean that all action will be centered around or in the ship, with an near zero chance of encountering others. While it may be fun. (The ship is  intended to be rather large. It has millions on people on board after all) It also means you'd be stuck with it.

So current ideas: (See previous pages for explanation)
-Spacestation
-Spaceship: Realistic
-Spaceship: semi realistic (Jumpdrives availble)
-Spaceship: Semi realistic +magic. (Not mundane though, but actually very rare and barely used)
-Dwarves in space

After we'd need to get some other info on the setting: Aliens Yes/No and such and maybe decide on some rules. (I'd go for a d20 rather than a d6,as that gives less wacky results.)

I'd like to participate, please.

All this spacestation/spaceship reminds me of Space Station 13 (where the Bay12 server was, for the longest time, a large spaceship in transit).  It had some dwarves in space.

Anyway, space station sounds good to me.

I vote for Spaceship: Realistic.

And that doesn't preclude meeting aliens, it just means that you need cryonic tube thingies that freeze you for the thousands of years it would take to get to another solar system at STL speeds.

Not post-apocalyps Sci-fi again!
Take something that isn't sci-fi and if it is do so it isn't an Post-apocalyps one.
LIke, the Earth is still fine but is almost depleted and you are a company that as to thrive.
( and inventuelly capture Earth)

or that you are a colony ship and you can get shipments from Earth.

These have been done before, and in fact more often then Post- apocalyptic. (Besides who said the Earth was destroyed)

I vote for Spaceship: Realistic.

And then you'd have to be lucky to land on an inhabited world, at which point you must be lucky enough to actually recognise the lifeforms as intelligent, and vice-versa, hope they understand you. Then hope a peace and such is possible. Even setting up contact might take years. For all we know their might be colective intelligences out there, or aliens based on a whole other symptom at us.

Also, the spaceship wasn't intended as a a cryoship(though that can be changed). It was designed as a generation ship. Also, the idea was not about how the humans would rebuild their civilization, but more about the live and such on the spaceship itself, now that it is falling apart due to internal struggle and such.(Though that can be changed)

Now, what kind of game will this actually be? If it's a suggestion game, will we control a crewmember, a captain? Someone vying for control of the ship?
Why do we want many GMs: to ensure quick turns, or to see how the different GM style interfere?

No idea. Depends on which idea we're going at. Mine idea was based on a ship were the authorities are non existent, and where there are multiple factions vying for control. The ship itself is quite large (About a million people running around, so it humongously large.) We could also use other ideas, as it was just a suggestion.

I think it's to see different GM styles, and to avoid burnout thingies.
