I'd be interested in this, though I probably haven't played EUIII as much as the rest of you, and don't have any experience with the Death & Taxes mod (which does look pretty nifty).

I'd be up for this, unless it ends up D&T or something else weird. Call me a square but I like my EU3 pretty close to Vanilla. I vote Misc Mods as it's kind of like a more balanced Vanilla with colonies that work.

I'm in hardcore, this was fun last time. I have Divine Wind and/or In Nomine for the version, and I'd prefer we not use any mods.

I'm in!

I'd prefer vanilla/DW, but I'd be okay with D&T.

I changed the first post to make it neater, also I clarified nation orderings - first come first serve is by signup, not by nation claiming order.

I also want to take this opportunity to make a sales pitch for D&T: a start in 1356 gives an extra 43 years of playtime (though we probably won't need it) and a LOT of nations start out much more balanced: England starts with Wales in a PU, China starts fractured, the hordes are nerfed (a tiny bit too much imho), Byzantium starts out much stronger while the Ottomans are weaker, etc.

Additionally I really like the way ideas are tied to sliders - for example this makes it harder to explore as a land-based nation. It means countries have to be a lot more focused on one thing at a time.

Also there are more countries and formable countries - Lotharingia, Jagellonian Empire, Sardinia-Piedmont, Florence etc.

If it doesn't change the interface, I'm good with D&T. I tried MEIOU, but couldn't handle the (in my opinion) crappy looking interface.

I'm in. Vanilla DW would probably be a bit more stable, but I'm not sure.

D&T is nothing like MEIOU. MEIOU completely changed the game while D&T just improves a lot and changes the starting date. The different starting date is actually a lot more fun as the Balkans and some other areas are filled with medium sized nations, instead of (in this case) just Hungary, the Ottomans and a bunch of minors.

There is also Administrative Efficiency which makes it harder to blob or get provinces everywhere.

I've been playing around with D&T. I formed Iberia and have been owning everywhere. No doubt it would be loads more fun with some people, so I'm down for the mod.

EDIT: Does offering tribute to make peace lower your legitimacy in vanilla (and I've never noticed) or is that something D&T added? I paid a bunch of nations 25 gold to leave my wars and didn't notice the hit.

I'm fine with D+T, after some research.

I change my vote from Miscmods to Vanilla. Really don't want to play D&T :/

I've gotten pretty rad at starting with Burgundy in vanilla, and since then I haven't had much of a challenge. A different start would be a fun challenge. (Though I'll probably still end up picking some moderately-sized European country.)
