Hostile Immigrants

Just started a new world and on my first immigration wave 2 of the immigrants were already very unhappy. One of them showed up as a "@" symbol and started attacking my other workers. I think he was berserk. I have never seen this happen before. Not sure if its a bug or intended. Has this happened to anyone else?

It's happened to me, but not on the first wave of the first fortress in a world. The culprit there was a liaison who'd been allowed to go mad.

Can you find the dwarf in Legends mode?

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Unfortunately I abandoned fortress. It's actually not a new file (new fortress, typo). The attacking dwarf didn't show up in my unit menu. But I got a ranger as well that was unhappy and had attend meeting set up as his task.

If you continue a world that you abandoned when you had an insane dwarf, there's a chance that that dwarf will migrate to your fort and continue the insanity.

Berserk dwarves don't trigger loyalty cascades, as far as I can tell.

On topic, yes, you can get insane dwarves migrating to your fortress after you abandon and restart forts.

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Yes he was. I reclaimed the fort again and about a half hour in i was ambushed. I thought i had been attacked by goblins early. When i looked it was the berserk dwarf again lol.

Definitely look her up in Legends. If you don't want to lose the fort, copy the folder, abandon, and legends mode it. There might be something funny there.
