So, my first ever bronze colossus arrived. I readied my troops behind my first line of traps, praying that at least one of them would survive the fight. A brave stray cat distracted the colossus, fighting with it for a while, until the colossus punched it into air. The cat exploded (which I thought was really cool) and the colossus ran towards my militia. And then, a wooden cage traps the damn thing. It somehow kept clear of the other cage traps, but became hasty when it got near, I'd suppose. It's still pretty much intact, apart from a few fractures in it's left leg (from my marksdwarves' bolt). And so, any fun uses you've come up? I'm thinking of just executing my prisoners whit it (and maby my monarch too), but I'd like to see some more creative uses.

they work as excellent marksdwarf training targets, but that's not creative... They tend to make quite a mess excecuting prisoners. Launch via minecart at a seige would be new I guess.

Drop it into the caverns, and let it fuck up whatever wanders into there.

Make a grand tomb. Build his cage in the last room before the coffin chamber. Use drawbridges instead of doors to keep him inside. Release him from the cage.

Or build a labyrinth in which you can pit prisoners/nobles/children. Let the colossus roam the labyrinth at will and watch.

Or a big ass 'terrarium' with glass windows and fortifications at your entrance so that every dwarf foolishly trying to go out fishing gets scared and turned away.

actually, the really FUN use for it would be to release it in your dining hall.

mod your save raws to make it tameable and see how many sieges it can destroy

I am really liking the minecart colossus delivery system...
Just imagine it, get a siege? Seal yourself in and send a lever conected cage with the colossus inside. just pull the lever and watch the carnage! If you wish to recapture it, though, you will need some sort of lure... pherhaps from a hatch?

May want to break all his limbs and transform him into an epic multi purpose training target.

Here I was just killing the ones that come to my fortress. A never ending crossbow target sounds good to me. Especially since I have so many bone bolts laying around.

Wouldnt the HFS, you know, like melt him? It'd be an awful loss if the BC is hit by a couple of fireballs and melts.

My understanding is that even magma takes a significant amount of time to melt a BC, during which time it actually becomes more lethal because it starts punching people with MOLTEN METAL FISTS.  A few fireballs aren't going to be a problem.

Also, fire demons are not the most common. Sure the bronze colossus will lose to the fire or steel or iron demons, but it will take more than a few with him in an epic blaze (pun intended) of glory and violence.
