You are a consciousness embedded within the very fabric of reality, one of a multitude of lesser spirits that inhabit the world. You have just come into existence from the void, but the world and its inhabitants are ancient and storied. You are a spirit of fire. Destruction is inherent in your nature, and the source of your power. You can gather magical energies by burning things, though some objects burn hotter than others. At the moment you are only strong enough to start small fires, and the power your receive from burning things is only temporary. You will have to locate another source of energy to permanently strengthen yourself.

You find yourself on a barren mountainside, stretching high over a forest that extends to the horizon. A few other mountains can be seen in the distance. The weather is cold and damp, but there is little danger of rain- being a fire spirit, being attuned to the presence of water is a must.
