Um... I might give it a go. I've never actually run a community fort before, so expect some !!FUN!!

Also, how do I actually apply the save to my game?

Extract the archive to the "data/save" folder in your Dwarf Fortress folder.
You should end up with a new folder in that folder that contains a "raw" folder and a lot of ".dat" files.

I think that might be one of the most dwarfen contraptions I've ever seen the blueprints of.

What the hell.

Why are there so many children?

Why are there so many cats?

Why do we have only 10 booze?!

Why are there no stills?

Why are the farms tiny and misshapen?

Why do the half the military have infected wounds?

Why is there a pack of boars just sitting around the city?

And how is that marksdwarf alive with his entrails slashed out?!

I can't do this. next person who wants a go, be my guest.

SMELLS LIKE DWARF FORTRESS, though.

Why are there so many children? Apparently Helmet was organizing a different kind of party than we thought.

Why are there so many cats? No idea.

Why only 10 booze? Because the still refuses to remain running.

Why are there no Stills? It's south of the center of town just south of one of the big buildings. Everything is marked with 'N'otes.

Why are the farms Tiny and mis-shapen? I blame Helmet. Or possibly Flamey.

Why do half the military have infected wounds? Because no one setup soap.

Why is there a pack of wild boars just sitting around the city? Because they won't go away. We kill them off, and they come back.

And how is that marksdwarf alive with his entrails slashed out? Sacha is a better butcher than a doctor?

Why everyone is wounded and infected? Because it's a tough life in Murderfarmed. It's really, really dangerous to be attacked by goblins, because we have no traps, no chokepoints or metal-armour. At least not in great quantities.

Also, with all the current problems an overseer faces, soap is really, really not a top priority. It wasn't with me, that's for sure.

Also, as far as I know, we don't have a particular shortage of plants. No need for farms the size of cities.

The beginning of the end times.

I know what you've done.
Broseph Stalin was a dwarf. I am a dwarf. I understand with all the grim necessities of conflagrationary passions that my initial assessments were colored by fear. To save dwarf kind what must one be? A god I said. Broseph Stalin in his infinite knowledge sought to save our people, to usurp the very annuls of history and remake them in his image. And now redefined by our conjoined inaction dwarf is god and both are neither for one to exist then existence must itself coincide with the premonitions of pain and now I know what you've done. I am a dwarf. I do not need prophets or gods. I know you can see me. I know what you've done. My kin will not die. I am greater than you, I am more powerful than you, I can see through you, I know what you've done.

The second coming of Helmet begins.

Granite 1
It's been five years and our numbers have swollen from seven to one hundred and twenty odd dwarves. My goal has never been closer but it has never been further away. I am not the man I was. I am tired, I am broken. Thoughts cause me terrible pain. But I will persist until I fall.

This is the second coming of Helmet, this is the beginning of the Kingdom of the Dead Gods. We are dwarves great and terrible and our wrath will be brought to bear. These homes offend. They are connected in a manner that reminds me too much of the old way. The great burrows where we slept in those dark days before our ingenuity gave rise to our salvation. They will tumble.

Murderfarmed what has become of you? Our wounded are numerous, our soldiers give terrible cries of exhaustion. I am a merciful lord and I grant them rest. We do not need their permanent vigillance, just their momentary sacrifice. It is easier to bury a corpse than halt a tantrum.

I am no longer the man I once was, my old life, my old clothes, my old home, I have outgrown them all. The top floors of the Temple are at present wasted space, they will become my quarters and office respectively.

I've ordered an end to the redundant activities of fishing and hunting, our food is too numerous already. Instead we will focus on construction. We must fortify, I have seen what comes.

Granite 5

Our military is dead. I have reassembled and reorganized it. Twenty of one hundred and twenty eight is to few. Our soldiers have been expanded from two squads to Five and I have renamed them to reflect our values. I do not think I have finished. Crossbows will be our latest project. Enough to arm everyone save the miners and woodcutters, if they can't defent themselves with their tools crossbows will not aid them. Most have no experience and I have not given them any orders to train. If the sight of a goblin lasher at dead run can't inspire them to learn the crossbow then I cannot persuade them otherwise.

My new quarters are being furnished and the bastard houses are being cannibalized for materials. There will be complaints but they will be quelled. One of the squads has been re-purposed into a peacekeeping force that I have dubbed The Inquisition. There's enough metal weaponry to outfit us as a melee squad and I'll order mass production of leather armor.

I personally lead it and I have staffed it with individuals whom I recognize as more or less trustworthy. Stardust, Flamey, Daruish, Sacha, Fishybang, Triaxx, Broken, Betelgeuse, and Argonnek. Nobody wanted to help at first but I looked Flamey dead in the eyes and gave an eleven minute long uninterrupted scream. They quickly picked up weapons and reported for duty.

Ah damn, my turn came and went already? Sign me up again for a turn, and can I ask that you send me a PM the next time? I don't always check the thread so its easy to overlook (If you haven't send PM to the other overseers it might be why so many haven't taken a turn).

They decided to leave my fortress via the circus because the front door was locked to keep Goblins out.  THAT should be an interesting trip back to the Mountainhome.
