Slate 10 The Fifteenth Year of Our Lord Broseph Stalin's Dominion over Heaven and Earth (351)

Flamey has purpotrated injustice by assigning homes based on lottery through what I have dubbed the bucket of dubious piety. She's also questioned the beauty and rustic majesty of rammed earth homes. What divine right can her bucket claim to determine who is housed and who is not? Which of the animals is best qualified to eat her sin bucket? I shall begin making notes of their eating habits.

Diary of Sacha [A masterwork drawing of her late husband is in the top corner smiling in a benevolent manner towards the viewer. It evokes a feeling of peace and love.]
[The date is illegible]
I miss my dear Nerjin. This oaf Dariush holds no competition to my beloved’s kindness and level-headed thinking. I regret the necessity of marrying Dariush to get here. Dariush to my knowledge worships Broseph Stalin or at the very least approves of him. I hope there is a revolution. I want him gone. His touch… A sin upon my pure love for my true Husband.
[Sacha’s numbers are hard to decipher. It appears a week passed since the last entry although it is hard to be certain.]
Me and the thing won the lottery. We have the river-front house by Fishybang. I contemplate jumping into the river just to be away from the sickening touch of Dariush. [Several angry comments seem to be penned and then scratched out here] I  apologize love. I know I owe Dariush many things it’s just that [the handwriting changes] Darling he risked a lot to get you to the new settlement. Believe me when I say that I’m not happy about it either but wishing death upon him is [The handwriting reverts to the original] You are right love. I suppose he’s never forced me into anything. I’ll consider asking him about a simple partnership for a while. Just until he finds someone he fancies more. [The handwriting changes once more to a more loopy script] That’s my girl. Now get some rest. We have to make sure that everything works out here. I don’t want this place to go the way the original did. [The handwriting is back to the plain text of Sacha] Alright my love. Will I see you again? [The looping handwriting returns] Of course. I will help you get through this.
[The room of Sacha and Dariush]
Sacha looked over at her new husband and sighed. “Thank you. It means a lot to me that you would risk even Armok’s own fury to help me.” To anyone else who was observing Sacha was simply speaking to Dariush’s sleeping form. However her own eyes detected a much different truth. “Anything for you Sacha.” Sacha glanced towards the journal “I love you Nerjin.” The journal itself seemed to speak “I love you too.”

Cool! I have been added!  :D

I was thinking, if possible could I get a dwarf with the angry trait? Preferably "is in a constant state of internal rage" tag? I haven't RP (sorry in advance for any blunders) ever before but I am liking the idea of WH40K angry spesh merheen type inquisitor enforcing the law of Broseph Stalin as defined by his prophet Helmet.

Helps explain all those random hammerings that nobles like to give out. Its simply punishing heresy!  :P

(not an update)
Triaxx is dwarfed, and I'm redwarfing Halt as a male hunter as requested (Mosus Zacolablal -> Avuz Cattensikel).

Here's a list of the currently unclaimed dwarves:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Edit: None of them are angry either.

If you're waiting for a dwarf and one of those sounds good let me know, otherwise I'll wait for the next migrant wave which will probably be soon.

Eh, I think I will wait for the next migration wave and see if any of them are angry. If nothing good turn up I will take a male dwarf, maybe Zefron or Catten.

Like your updates by the way, keep em coming!

Journal of Flamey Paperlines, Slate 17, 351

Progress on the houses is being made, albeit slowly. The wooden floor and skeleton of the outer walls of my own house are nearing finished, and the other three are just starting to take shape. I've ordered the production of beds and doors for the houses so that furniture can be arranged as soon as the buildings are complete. For some reason, I got a bit of an odd look when I ordered two beds each for the houses of the married couples. I don't see why... Two dwarves, two beds, right? Regardless, Sacha seemed quite enthusiastic about the idea when she found out. I... I'll admit I feel a bit out of the loop...

I'm getting quite tired of the noise and distraction of trying to work on the inventory in the middle of the crowded tavern. If time and resources allow, I think I'll have a small study built on the second floor of my abode. To be able to work in peace... That'll be something to look forward to.

Journal of Flamey Paperlines, Slate 23, 351

I'm really growing weary of Helmet's behaviour. In what I can only assume is some kind of passive-aggressive protest of something I did (there hasn't been much he hasn't protested to, so far), he's been preventing the completion of the first wall of Broken and Argonnek's house by standing in the way and refusing to move. When I spoke to him, he denied doing anything wrong and claimed to be "acting upon the holy will for the good of Murderfarmed".

If he pushes me much more I may have to appoint some kind of sheriff to keep him in line.

Journal of Flamey Paperlines, Slate 23, 351

Prase Tobul! Broken and Argonnek have had a baby boy! The first child born aboveground since the old Murderfarmed fell. They've named him Mebzuth Sabrepaddle. I visited with them this morning to congratulate them and have a look at the little fellow. His moustache makes him look just like his father.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I've managed to dislodge Helmet for now (he skulked off to the temple, muttering) so it shouldn't be long before the happy family has a roof over their head.

Journal of Flamey Paperlines, Felsite 1, 351

Felcis spotted what looked like a small group of travelling dwarves in the distance while out hunting today. Could they be migrants? She said they seemed tentative, as if they weren't sure if they should come closer or not. Perhaps they are observing us before coming to join us. Our settlement isn't much to look at yet - just a handful of sloppy or unfinished houses and the temple and tavern. It certainly must seem sparse and exposed compared to what they're used to.

I'll bring Felcis and Halt and travel out to meet them in morning. Perhaps all they need is a welcome.

Journal of Flamey Paperlines, Felsite 2, 351

Damn it! Damn. I spent last night preparing to invite the newcomers into our town, but when I went out with the hunters this morning they were gone! They've completely cleared out! There was nothing but footprints and burnt out campfires where they'd been yesterday. Why would they come all this way just to leave again?!

Bah... I suppose this means we're going to be on our own for a while longer, at least. If they left because they didn't like what they saw, I worry about the stories they'll take back with them.
Evidently we'll have to work harder on appearances if we want New Murderfarmed to draw in more dwarves from the Mountainhomes.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Journal of Flamey Paperlines, Felsite 11, 351

I've been in a foul mood ever since the incident with the migrants, but today at least I have something to be happy about. The walls of the three houses are complete! The doors have been installed and floors are being put in place. The floors are just packed clay, for now, but it's a great improvement over the slightly smoothed dirt floors that were sprouting weeds in the houses built under Helmet's supervision.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's been heartwarming seeing the entire town pitching in on assembling these buildings, even the ones who'd never touched the tools of carpentry before coming here. Now all that remains is getting rooves overhead and the lucky homeowners will be able to move in.

My own house, on the other hand, is in somewhat more of an unfinished state...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

...Largely due to the fact that our broker, who's been in charge of brick production, seems to be taking roughly a week to perfect each brick before starting on the next. I applaud his dedication to quality, but I'd really prefer quantity at this point in time. Perhaps I should look for someone else to do the job...

Diary of Sacha [A portrait of Flamey carrying a shining bed is in the top right. It’s not quite as detailed as the previous drawing. Flamey is smiling. The portrait relates to the mandate of two beds by Flamey in Slate of 351]

[The Date is illegible]

Flamey has become my favorite overseer. A second bed. Finally me and my beloved can have a bed to ourselves. I feel bad for my new “husband” but it nothing can make me sad today! I think perhaps I should inform him of my loves return to this realm? Surely he’d believe me. He’s obviously seen Nerjin and myself strolling in the evening! Why else would he order a second bed in my home?

[The second date is as illegible as the first although this one seems to be in different writing. It is loopier.]

I heard that Flamey is searching for a sheriff. I may apply for this position. I do enjoy keeping the peace. While being a druid isn’t the best credit for a sheriff job it appears the only person I’ll have to deal with is Helmet. I miss my friends from the old Murderfarmed but this new one seems like it will outlive our doomed settlement.

Felsite 2, 351 [Surprisingly the handwriting is legible for this date. The writing is plain.]

I saw Flamey return from the reported migrants. I think that maybe he misunderstood their intentions. Perhaps it was a trading caravan or a hunting party? I’ve even heard tales of dwarves who wander the world searching for glorious battles and loot. I think later on I’ll try to comfort him. He’s a good man. He doesn’t need to be alone in this.

Felsite 3, 351 [The handwriting is hardly legible but with dedication it is possible. The writing is plain.]

I tried my best to comfort Flamey however it appears he has a temper to match his namesake. Let’s just hope it fades just as quickly.

Slate 23 Our Lord Broseph Stalin's Reign Defies Year.

Flamey is a demon. It is clear now, she has come to subvert the construction of kingodm of our lord. I challenged her to prove her divinity by constructing a wall beneath my feet. She failed of course but her sorceress powers caused me to grow thirsty and when I went off for a drink the wall was built. When our lord arrives he shall burn the sin-wall.

Felsite 2 Our Lord Broseph Stalin's Reign Defies Year.

Migrants fled our settlement! No doubt they heard of Flamey's false claims of divinity and ran in terror! This settles it. From henceforth I shall stare judgmentally at her when she draws near until the shame causes her to dive into the river to escape my judgement and drown. The news shall reach the Mountainhomes that the sinner has been punished and migrants will return.

Days Mean Nothing In His Kingdom.
I have found a few charcoal rubbings amongst the more obscure documents of the tome. Though I am not holy enough to recreate their divinity I transcribe them here.

Quote
Disease. Nerjin is a cancer that has corrupted all he's touched, incompetence saw him permit our desperately scarce reserves of alcohol to deplete before the frost took the river but wickedness saw me wounded. Wickedness killed Winter. The blood of they who died of thirst while the storehouse was filled with raw materials is on his hands. My friends and comrades dead, my town is silent with ruin. I cannot leave my bed to take account of the living or dead but Winter is lies a few feet away murdered by Nerjin in a fit of rage. Nerjin the name bestowed on a creature that does malice through misguided efforts. Nerjin a curse uttered by dead gods levied against they who make the world worse simply by existing. Nerjin the sound a dream makes when it falls from a pedestal and shatters on the floor. I lie wounded without water but there is no fear of death in me, I cannot proclaim to be immortal but I swear on my eyes that I will watch Nerjin die. I'll be there when Tahudjt hacks his bastard head from his body, I'll throw the first shovelful of dirt on his still screaming body when he's buried quite alive beneath the floor of my home, I will watch the light leave his eyes when the order is given for the horse to run and his body dangles suspended at the neck from a tall tree. I will cut out my heart if it betrays any sympathies to him for what he's done, my friends lie dead, my dream destroyed, my savings wasted but I am not broken. WEAK You are weak you cannot destroy Murderfarmed because it is stronger than you we will survive we are stronger than you. I am stronger than you. I will live. You will die. Nerjin I will watch you die!

Sacha, bride of Nerjin is an assassin of empires come to finish her husbands work. I rubbed my axe all over the holy tome, it's powers should imbue the axe. Now when the Lord comes and I must destroy her the axe will penetrate her demon-flesh. I shall announce today that the chief enemy of Murderfarmed is now sorceresses. I won't name names but I'll be staring angrilly at Flamey as I have been recently. If this causes her to shed her skin and show her true form I'll be ready with the axe.

Diary of Argonnek.
A son has been born into the family. I should know, as it is I who bore him. He plays with the bones as I work them. I count three woven into the braids of his beard. He fears not the powder of the bones. Perhaps I must teach him. Teach him of the bees and the wax. Of the hatred of bones. Perhaps.

[Many illustrations of shattered bones follow.]

Journal of Triaxx:

What was I thinking? This place is full of sun cursed nut cases. If there's a sane person anywhere around where around, they're doing a great job of pretending. I'm curious as to exactly what the plan is. Not that we appear to have one. Rumor is that just about everyone will end up in charge, given the sudden insanity that seems to strike the overseers.

Well, I suppose if I end up in charge, I can always just wall myself into my room. I think perhaps we need a work house for those of us not farming to work in. Something big enough to contain the kitchen, butchery and all the other things that are necessary for survival.

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Triaxx seems a tad paranoid to me. Hoarding food [planned] thinking everyone is crazy [Check] Believing wild rumors [check (Note: Rumors can be true or false for this one)] I have proven your person to be just a saneless as the rest of us.
