Is our new site going to have a river or are we going without? I really like the idea of a river valley, it fits with the agricultural idea.

Doublepost!

What is meant by scrub, usually I would think of that as being more or less the same as plains.

I still think a bit of harvesting has it's merits, but I'm all for northern plains.

For the future, I would like to suggest maybe a partial wall.
Yes, I know of the rule:
*There can be no wall protecting the entire village, Nobles and legendaries may have walls protecting their own property.
But perhaps just small walls that are evenly spaced around the village, with dogs set to guard the spaces? Just to funnel them into killing zones and make it easier on the militia.

Or, failing that, small walls built between buildings like in some French villages.

Well I don't think that wall idea is really a good idea since it surrounds the village. But the "Small walls between buildings" seems almost purely asthetic so I'd be okay with that is Broseph is.

I'm not sure what you mean, if you could show me an example I could make a decision.

So the buildings have a wall separating them. Might be a bit more than aesthetic, since it would create alley's for militia to blockade, and spots for them to squeeze enemy groups. So you get one dorf coming from either way and can corral goblins or whatever in the middle and leave archers unable to use their ranged advantage.

Overseers can plan buildings however they please but that seems to fit in the rules just fine.

There are so many dwarfing requests I can't get what everyone wants in order so who wants to be in the original seven?
