She got up, and went to the hooded figures. ''Excuse me.'' Lei said, politely. ''You people seemed to have had an interest in this battle. If it is fine to ask, why?''
((I think they explained they were mages which had temporarily bought a place where they could conduct experiences in the castle from the previous owner. The Greenhaven troops expelled both the rightful owners and the mages. Or at least this is what I think. At least I know it was already mentioned before.))

Cast detect magic again to get a better idea of the magical object's location, then investigate.

Derm grasps the handle of the trapdoor, [4] pulling it open. He peers down into the hole beneath.

A set of steps and handholds are cut into the vertical stone shaft, descending approximately five meters into a room of uncertain size. Rough, dry stone is illuminated by a steady golden light originating somewhere out of view. The end of a bookshelf is visible.

Derm descends, carefully climbing down. When he reaches the bottom, he turns around and faces the room.

It is relatively small, perhaps four meters wide and ten long, with a low ceiling. The walls are lined with shelves and racks holding a large number of scrolls, bottles, and assorted knick-knacks. A row of bookshelves runs down the center of the room, heavily laden with old tomes. At the far wall is an iron frame containing a golden disk, apparently the only light source. The room is remarkably dry and clean.

"Oooh!~ Wonder what that is!"

Run through scrolls, bottles, knick-knacks and books and grab anything that looks interesting.

Run a scan on the disk. The hell is this thing?

Talendir keeps walking around...The armory must be around somewhere.

Search for armory (or a better place with usable equipment), loot it.

Lei was a little disapointed. But she figured maybe they did not wish to divulge anything more than had already been said. However, something suddenly occured to her. She continued to talk to the hooded figures.''A-are any of you any good at appraising enchanted items?'' She asked, holding her Pince-nez. ''I'm not entirely sure as to what this does, but it's been interesting to say the least. And... uhm...'' She hesitated to ask her second question. ''Would you... have anything written about bloodlines I... ehm... that you don't want anymore. I'm interested in specific bloodlines like the Kin.''

Mina frowns down at the kitten and bends and triesto pick it up.

Regardles of success orfailure, she heads towards the tower and tries to find that elusive armory.

Derm gleefully loots the room.

[1]

He finds a lot of dust and starts coughing.

[3]

He can't really tell what the golden disc is. Might be a portal, might be a smokeless candle, might be a toy.
____

Sinterous
casts Detect Magic.

[3]

It appears that luck does not follow a cycle of threes on this plane.

-3 MP
____

Talendir continues searching for more equipment.

[3]

He finds some rust and a lot of snakes.
____

Aero also searches for an armory, looking for loot along the way.

[6]

He finds a partially-assembled ballista. Aero estimates that it would take five or six people to carry all of the pieces.
____

Lei asks the cloaked figures about appraising her pince-nez, and for information on old bloodlines.

[5]

The tallest leans forward, muttering several words as he lays a hand on the pince-nez.

"Certainly, young one. Your friends have done us something of a service. This," he gestures to the pince-nez, "has a rather peculiar trait. It will allow you to see through doubt and hesitation, stripping away deception and confusion. It carries an enchantment of Truthseeing. As for the other thing, there are a number of scrolls and texts in the hidden basement on the topic. You may peruse them, and I am willing to gift you with a single volume if you find one of interest."

____

Mina tries to pick up the stray.

[4]

It leaps into her arms, climbing up and settling on her shoulders. Mina recognizes it as the cat the group encountered in the forest a day or so ago.

[3]

Mina has no more luck than any of the others in locating an armory, if the tower even has one.

Take the disc, a few random something or others, and skedaddle.

Talendir already heard of well-hidden armories to prevent the ransacking by enemy forces or other people, but that was already reaching ridicule levels.

Armory, make it happen.
