Yeah AC4 was pretty awesome in the pirating section, I just REALLY HATE the whole present day story thing. I don't know a single person who enjoys it, and I feel that there's one moderately high up developer who keeps pushing it and no one can get rid of him or tell them that they hate it because his wife left him and he sometimes cries in his cubicle. Stop trying to make present day happen. It's not going to happen.

There was a time...long ago.....back in AC2 where I liked the story. But it quickly became mediocre and they knew it. If AC had continued to play the story straight, instead of what it's become, I'd still be enjoying it.

I think the story was the brainchild of the original creator of the series, you know, the guy they eventually let go after 3 or 4 games. But after saddling yourself with.....that shit.....for 4 games, you really can't walk away from it. There's really nothing you can retconn either, because there's no one particular thing about the AC storyline that isn't both objectionable and a lynch pin. It's just....

For all the game's problems, I'm thoroughly enjoying the Spider Tank.

For all the game's problems, I'm thoroughly enjoying the Spider Tank.

It's the only mindlessly fun thing in the game and it just ramps up over and over to become less fun. The one person kill all robots trip, not so fun.

Video describing differences between E3 2012 vs PC Release (Ultra). The same thing they done to FarCry3.

One comment nailed it all on that video. Bait-and-switch tactics, get us hooked up on crazy imersive graphics only to downgrade it later.... Instead of simply... i dont know... leaving the E3 option in ultra... Because right now i watchedt videos on ultra and im playing on medium and i dont notice that big of a difference..... Hell i saw comparative pics between low and ultra and the difference isnt that big either....

That gas station explosion on the E3 footage was marvelous, sound dampening, *cringing sound? frack hate being french... that high pitched noise*, well everything... now we got fed a low graphic game because *console* woundlt be able to keep up? ....

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

It looks like this game is set in the same universe as AC. I just came across a guy who in the profiler, was a former abstergo employee.

I had the game pegged as being in the same universe as AC months ago, but hadn't actually been able to find any solid evidence. Nice to know I was right :)

I guess the real question though...is it proof of the same universe or merely an easter egg? If it's an easter egg then it's not necessarily the same universe.

Far Cry 3 had a similar easter egg. I wouldn't be surprised if all of these games were in a Tarantinoesque combined-universe.

Look forward to the DLC where you help Abstergo abduct Desmond.

So I finally got this running (apparently XCOM is one of the dependencies).

It's okay.  Not great, but okay.  Like most major Ubisoft releases really.  The multiplayer hacking stuff raises it above mediocrity IMO.

I'm running it at ultra settings with 1440p resolution, had to turn down the AA a little to avoid stuttering, but that's about it.  Play it with a pad, it's a third person game with lots of driving.

It's ok.

It's ok.

Both games are just a part of Tommy Westphall's imagination, even if not directly crossing over with each other.

Pretty huge caveat: These were filmed at different times of the day, and I thought the interior looked much better on the PC release. I've been playing on almost max settings, which makes me pretty happy since I couldn't even play AC4 on settings this high with my relatively beefy PC.

I think the PC version looks just fine.

Have been having a little fun, and a lot of frustration, with this game. Biggest frustration is the driving. I'm pretty disappointed in the Hollywood hacking. Jordi is one of the most fun characters I've seen in a long time. I despise Clara's voice.
