I've done interviews in convention centers before, you sometimes do need to shout to ensure you get good audio.

It's the energy I don't like. It's like "AH SWEET BRAH I CAN'T WAIT TO GRAB MAH DORITOS AND MOUNTAIN DEW AND HACK SOME BITCHES."

They say 25 hours if you go straight through the game and triple digits if you "really want to dig into it." For some reason, I'm getting flashbacks to Assassin's Creed and its "400 collectibles that you don't need and add almost nothing to game play."

I'm getting flashbacks to crackdown's 800 collectibles, and that wasn't even that large of a world.

Heh, and it counts the underside of every car, so you have to find a way to flip every car in the game to walk on it. And people.

We know from the basic description of the game that there's an AI that controls most of Chicago's systems, and this trailer seems to suggest that it is fighting you as much as the police are.

Interesting new IP concept + open world Chicago. That's pretty much a must-play for me.

I'll definitely be waiting for the reviews to come in, though. Ubisoft, if anything, is good at marketing - The problem (Or benefit, if you're the company) with releasing so little information is that people tend to fill in the gaps with their imagination, and everyone ends up with their own little version of what the game will be. Granted, it has to go pretty far to get to the point where the developers lose no matter what, but it's still a huge marketing ploy to create interest in the game.

Focusing solely on the promised/actual features of the game and cutting off some to account for release deadlines, it still looks like it'll be a good game.

The game that has scarred me with failed promises the most probably has to be Mercenaries 2 with the zippo lighter and the misleading screen shots of the planes, then again I was like 13 at the time.

It's looking pretty sweet.

I wonder if there's a reason to take random criminals down, besides "doing something good". Just getting money for it would make it unnecessary later in the game. The title seems to imply that's the point of what you're doing (Taking out the bad guys), but will there be enough of a reason to help random folks out once certain demands have been met?

I don't think you're properly evaluating this dude.  People who wander around looking for criminals to stop do it because they're insane.  Don't think of the perks, think like you're fucked in the head.

So I noticed there's a sort of karma meter in the game, given that a 'Reputation Sentinal' popped up after Pierce KO'd the one guy with his baton. I'd assume you'd start losing pretty massive amounts of points if you shoot any cops or other innocents, but it leaves me wondering whether there's any perks for getting your rep to a particularly low level. Or even just downsides like faster police reaction times, that'd be nice too.
