So I heard about this game called Deus Ex...

If you're implying they're connected, I really don't see how, explain?  :)

Focus on technology, variety of ways to solve each mission, and a lot of smaller things. To me this sounds like Deus Ex, but made in the fashion of GTA (with Assassin's Creed and related elements as well). Not a bad thing, it just seems a lot like Deus Ex to me, in terms of player control.

Deus Ex? I was thinking more along the lines of the Hitman series...how is it like Deus Ex? you just mean with the secret society/conspiracy overlay stuff?

Apart from the perspective and this being more open-world, I don't see how they aren't very similar. But that's just my opinion, I suppose. I don't know much about the Hitman series.

If the player walked into the building guns-a-blazing, would the same cutscene still have happened, then? He likes to talk alot about things I know aren't really implemented or shown in any way.

Precisely.  We see A, he talks about B and C, but has nothing to show that B and C are possible.  It's even really really easy, it's called "save, do A, load, do B, load, do C" and let us see the differences.  But they won't do it, because it's not implemented, they don't really plan to implement it, they just like to talk.

That's the case with pretty much every game. I still remember all the lies told about TES:Oblivion before it's release. I never trust devs anymore, except for the indie guys.

And that's why I don't preorder anything any more.

Nah, GTA never claimed to have multiple ways to do missions, multiple characters doing missions that overlap, etc. I'm assuming the overlapping mission structure will suck though. One player will always get there before you and mess up up your mission by doing there's. They'll rarely if ever get there at the same time and screw eachother over.

Well that video showed one mission to kill someone and the other player was tasked with protecting him...

If they can keep with missions that work together as opposed to missions that conflict (though those should be included to give senses of urgency and life to the game at times) then things should work pretty well.

I assume whoever plays Aeden Pierce is the game host and then players can join into hosted games to support the host. Thats just my speculation though.

New bit of gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtBh4QzZKz4&feature=player_embedded

I'd be lying if I said I didn't salivate a little while watching it.

Other than the guy holding up the woman, it all looked about as scripted as your average GTA moment where you shoot someone and the cops dive all over you. I suppose the cop car smashing into the barriers could have been scripted as well. Generally though, this one seemed less scripted than that last.

Slightly annoyed at the bullet time. Watchdogs is seemingly like a gestalt of so many other games right now.
