The game is not that beautiful, and some effects are just annoying : you just can't drive facing the sun in the morning/evening.

You can't in real life either, so at least they got that right.

IRL, I can use sunglasses, or sun-visor.
It's kind of hard to believe that, with the Virtual Reality the smartphone in the game generates, it doesn't include a light damper...

Car windows are tinted to reduce glare though. Since it's in 3rd person like GTA and any other game like this, the camera's not in the car and the bloom effect doesn't get reduced through the front windscreen. It would be nice if they lowered the bloom automatically when you entered a vehicle to simulate that.

IRL, I can use sunglasses, or sun-visor.

Half the cars I've ridden/driven have crappy visors that only block the sun in...very...specific...places and the sun will find spots the visor doesn't block and get right in my face.  Last night taking my parents to dinner the sun was low enough that I needed the visor only to have it freaking reflect off my hood.

Either way, my comment was a bit on the sarcastic side. :P

Anyone here tested this already? As soon as I get home I'm gonna test and see how much better the game looks with this, but from what I've seen, it really looks like what was shown at E3.

Found those videos on Reddit:

It is. I just set it on repeat and watched them until I started drooling.

Am I right in picturing that you've made a macro that types 'Why?' in whenever an input of several different keys near each other on the keyboard are pressed, as if struck by a descending head?

Woah that looks amazing. Although I'm really not someone that cares that much about graphics (and I'll still find it a subpar game) I was pretty disappointed that it looks so different from the e3 demos and this has got me a little bit more excited about it (and possibly even future modding!)

Not to sound conspiratorial, but I really do wonder if there's a sort of plot from microsoft/sony to force studios to purposefully reign in graphics on new releases so that their new consoles can handle it. It seems as though a lot of recent games (DS2 for instance) have reigned in their graphics for no real reason.

@Walter, please do report your results and if there's a performance hit/improvement could you provide your specs? I'm not able to try this out at the moment but i'd love to know how it works out!

It's conspiratorial? I thought it was basically common knowledge that it's a thing.

It's my watch_dogs alter ego. HAK UBISFT NOW. PSW ROSEBUD. JCDENTS. I AM JOHN GALT.

Seriously, I have no idea why I put conspiratorial, it's completely blatant.
