There's some of us that do not own a 360 controller and have little desire for one.  In fact, having used one on two occasions, my hands are too small.
And my reply is, if you include a control system for a game and it plays on the PC, it had better work to expectations. Half-assing KB/M inputs because controllers are easier to address doesn't endear me to your company.
Honestly, I hate this sentiment, because I vastly prefer to play with my PC controller on most games, and most PC games implement controller support so poorly. I hate  KB/M control schemes, mostly the keyboard bit, because I hate binary on/off inputs as movement control schemes, and if you're going to be making a driving game you're basically going to have to build two completely different systems if you want to support both a keyboard AND a decent joystick based control system.

So what we usually get is a game that works with the keyboard but controls like it was made by an idiot on the controller.

And man, don't get me started about the countless problems with mouse controls.

Joystick master-race.

I don't really care what control scheme someone prefers. If you put the option in game, don't half ass it, either way.

^^That's what I think.

You will find that most people that play shooters with a controller/joystick will keep auto aim on and they will not play against people that use a mouse if at all possible.
I'd say that if someone is using a controller on a PC game then everyone else is probably using one too.

I can't really think of any competitive multiplayer games on PC where anyone would use a controller anyway. If you bought said competitive game on PC, then that probably means you intended to use kb+m.

Personally, I'm a keyboard + mouse hardcore user too. Really not a fan of gamepads.

I use mouse and keyboard for most games. Only one really is fighting games as I have a fightstick, but since I use my right hand for movement I have to play crossed hands and I still prefer using the keyboard.

It's possible a mod will come out to improve mouse b/w keyboard usage, but I don't know what modding for this game is looking like.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

I've touched a MOBA, like, once. Didn't like it, though my brother is top 1000 on LoL. That maniac.

I'm not saying gamepads are better, or that I'm even a fan of them. I just don't get to play any games on PC where the choice would make any sort of difference.

Well, actually, being a fan of RTS, and having played many an RTS on a console, I can say that it hands-down SUCKS ALL THE DICKS. I have two Tiberium Wars games, Red Alert 3 and Halo Wars (that last one is a fantastic game BTW and I don't think it made it's way to PC by some sorcery). I can't even beat them on Hard because god damn it's so difficult to do anything, but conversely hot damn did those guys who port the C&C do a fantastic job magicking them into a playable form. At first I thought I was bad but once I got RA3 working on my PC I was trashing campaigns like it was none of your business.

Conversely, I have no idea how you can aim with a mouse. I likes me some joysticks. But then I don't play PC shooters, because I own a Mac. *kills self*

If you have a mac, you can play Half-Life 2. Here's how Half-Life 2 goes after you club your first faceless-dystopian-enforcer to death with your crowbar and take his pistol, with a mouse and keyboard:

"Hey, that guy is pointing his pistol at me!" *aim* "Boom, headshot!"
"There are three more!"
Headshot! Headshot! Headshot!

It doesn't have bullet time - mice are just black magic (and the enemies aren't bunny-hopping or dodging). It helps that everyone's using pistols at that point in the game, of course. And that you have armor. And they they don't aim for your heads and can't get instant-kills if they hit it.

In the first Deus Ex, on Realistic difficulty, at close range, the enemies are just as good at headshots as you are, but have slower reactions and can be incapacitated* in a variety of ways without exposing yourself to danger.

* or killed, or gibbed

P.S. I like Halo Wars. My only disappointment with it is that there's no free-for-all multiplayer mode for 3 players.

I can hardly aim with a joystick/controller. It's way too stiff for me. Thank god most of the games on console my family owns (Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, GTA V) have some form of bullet time. However, I think I'm capable of being able to keep up with most PC multiplayer games like TF2.

On-topic, this game's marketing somehow managed to get worse as time went on. First, it seemed great with exceptional graphics and good gameplay. Then a bazillion collector's editions, reduced graphics, "appealing to a wider audience", and forced multiplayer came along. It seems like that games nowadays have to deal with the very real risk of losing what they had and replacing it with a template game.

So, I was already annoyed at the horrible "armored guys" who can apparently take a full clip of assault rifle headshots without dying and have to be blown up with around 5 explosive to kill completely, but when act III ended with a fight, in close quarters, with a boss version of one of those and I had to sit through what felt like an eternity of repeat monologue every time I die, I guess that was the end of my experience with Watch_Dogs.

Do you guys really find it weird to drive ?
I mean, I mostly drive the muscle cars anyway (and the trucks because they have this old terminator feel where you don't care what is coming in front of you), but I'm used to this driving after 3 evenings playing, and hacking on the run is nearly simple, now.
It may be related to the fact that I was playing Burnout Paradise before, which has a very arcade-y driving... :/

I blame Ubisoft being a template company. They've been putting out annual releases of AC and nothing has really changed or improved since the second instalment, which was a major improvement over the first game which I also enjoyed when it released. The thing that angers me most is that the mechanics from those games have been copy-pasted and then slapped with a big name title to boost sales (Ghost Recon mainly, which ironically suffered from the same hype issues that Watch Dags did, and the Splinter Cell to a lesser extent (they brought back Spies v. Mercs which is great fun)). They even look the same graphically.

Yeah, about the only recent Ubisoft game I've been really impressed with was Far Cry 3.
