DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Thanks. It's getting much easier to deal with this aspect of the game, now, and I'm really looking forward to focusing on the more mechanically-driven stuff (which will be much more fun to play with) in the near future. There are still a few residual glitches lurking here and there as a result of the overhaul that need to be pinpointed and fragged, but for the most part the engine at this point is looking a lot more solid than it was at the time of the campaign.

So, uh, when do you think we'll see an update?

OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

I'll be posting a Kickstarter update this morning; if you mean a new release of the game engine, not yet, but I'll give you an ETA as soon as possible.

Just thought I'd pop in and mention that another update is now up, as well as several new screenshots and a blog post. Work is going much, much more smoothly now, thank goodness.

Hey, I have some good news, everyone! (I really should do a better job of keeping this thread updated, since Bay12 was the springboard that launched me into this project originally, hehe). The Dev-Map is up! We'll see how attainable these goals turn out to be, I've tried to be as reasonable as possible in setting them. But progress this week has been GREAT, I think I'll have many new screenshots for everyone soon. :) There are also new posts up on the forum and blog(s), plus the twitter feed. If anyone wants to add that, by the way, the twitter name is CultRL.
